Even if the option is ticked in the properties tab, the objects in the mask stencil object seem to be not transparent to selection.

That’s a complicated subject this single slide VS multiple slides. There are pros and cons for both methods.
In my experience, I find it easier to use multiple slides. But even in this case, I have to create « transparent » duplicates. By example for the book opening sequence which was in my case a real headlock !
I am sure you will find a way. And if I can help you, don’t hesitate to contact me. -

Yes, it’s impressive!
The crossed AI is very pertinent but might be too intrusive sometimes.

I came across a tutorial on how to make a similar effect in Adobe After Effects. And since I have recently wondered if it is possible to implement in PTE AV what After Effects can do, I tried to do the same in PTE AV
The tutorial is in first place in my YouTube videos recommandations today!
« Somebody »’s watching my internet activities!Anyway, great animation Aleina!

I wanted to create a style with a magnifying glass. On the table are several small photographs and when a magnifying glass passes over the photograph the foto increases.
Unfortunately, nothing happens with small photos, only large ones are possible. See an example. With a text nothing comes out at all. Maybe someone has an idea or advice on how to make a similar style with small photos or text. Please upload your pte project (use File > "Create Backup in ZIP" feature)) in order for somebody or myself to have a look to help you.

Henry suggested to transform my old template into a style in this topic. And here it is !
There is room for improvement (may be I will make them later) but for the moment I have just transformed the template into style without almost visually no changes.
But the style is much more user friendly than the template because images don't have to be blurred in a photo editor any more.
Select your pictures, apply the style and boum, your animation is ready in a few seconds.
The style is available on my website : http://gumroad.com/thedom -

Bonjour Roumi,

Hello Roumi,
Thank you for your interest.
And thanks to Henry for responding and doing a little promotion.
The site is completely secure. Actually, I use the gumroad platform which is a garantee for secure transactions.
but I cannot avoid those conversion costs (for me too). Sorry for this.I have no connection with DiaporaShop.

Thanks for the tip Dom! I knew it was something easy that I missed. And yes, it was your pan style that I used for a series of shots I took with my phone. I really like that little bit of difference that your pan style provides! Thanks again for sharing it.
You’re welcome! It’s a real pleasure to see my styles in action in somebody’s slideshow. Thank you for using and showing them.

A few people asked me questions last couple of days about this project. So here are some news.
I started working again on it. I did animation tests with an empty album (no page turning). I decided and finalized the design of the animations.
There should be at least 23 different animations with different angles and camera effects (+several openings and closings sequences of the photo album).
Several people are currently working on photo album styles. I believe that this provokes a collective stimulation/emulation. That's great!
It gives me courage to finish my style. I still have a lot of work to do but I think I can finalize it within 10 days. -
Wow, very impressive !!
I might be wrong but it seems to me you used my "pan style" for the first pictures, right ?On 6/8/2020 at 6:18 AM, mhwarner said:I know there's a way to directly embed the Youtube video but I can't figure it out. If someone could enlighten me, I would appreciate it!You have to copy/paste the long link (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tec6fLiXVHY) instead of the short link like you did (https://youtu.be/Tec6fLiXVHY)
Click on your short link and once you're on the YouTube page, copy the link.
Then edit your post and replace the short link by pasted the long link. Tadaaaa, your YT video will appear immediately ! -
That's a great animation you made, well done!
My approach is different. Everything is made from scratch within PTE, no pictures used, only native PTE objects. I find it easier and it gives more flexibility to animate for me, but it’s less photorealistic. -

The dream will become true for mac users soon !
Sincere congratulations for this huge step for PTE.
I hope it will grow the community, you deserve it. -

It's a very elegant transition !
Is it an adaptation or something you imagined ?In both cases, congratulations and thank you for sharing.

I tried to make editing this complex project as simple as possible. On Igor’s advice, I made all the layers “non-clickable”, except for those that require editing. And this is text and photo. In most cases, you will only need to click on the screen in the "objects and animations" to select the desired text layers and layers with photos. This way you can easily find text areas.
I learned something today !
I was wondering what is the use for this feature. Now I undesrtand!10 hours ago, Xenofex2 said:Thankyou for that reply. It has reminded us look at your website. Wow.

Made and animated 100% within PTE.
I am pleasantly surprised by the result.
The flames are made with PTE rectangles and masks and were actually really easily animated with modifiers.
What do you think ? -
Hi Bruno,
Thtat’s an excellent work and a very solid base for a great style !
I agree with Aleina, shadows she added brings the book to life and gives volume and perspective.

Here is a demo of neon text effect integrally made within PTE.
It's an animation totally inspired by the intro of the famous TV show "Stranger Things".For those of you who are interested in this "Neon text" effect, please find a simplified project to play with.
Everything is made with the shadows (in properties tab).
The other thing to know is that the inside of the text is transparent (not black) and you can see the background image if you put a pic behind.
You can type your own text (two text objects), increase or decrease thickness of outline and intensity of glow, change color of outline and glow, etc...
PS : you can donwload stranger things font here.

Congratulations, very nice !
I fixed issues in the PTE project I posted some message above but it seems you reintroduced them in you final version : image/text move under the magnifying glass, the zoom effect exceeds the magnifying glass inside or outside, the edges of the zoom are blurred...
But it's a very good way to learn and I think you already made significant improvements.
I hope you will release other projects soon !
