The RPS UK National Championships were held from 14-15 September 2013. There were 54 accepted entries (6 from first time entrants). 53 of the entries were created in PTE & 1 in Pro Show Producer. The RPS Gold Medal was awarded to Malcolm Imhoff FRPS with Soul Music, The RPS Silver Medal to Keith Brown FRPS with Grease, Gaskets and Gears and The RPS Bronze Medal to Jeff Mansell and Howard Bagshaw ARPS with Special. I was a member of the Jury.

...

53/1 Whaooo that is a pity it seems that does not reflect the market sales ...

Hi Daniel,

The number of people who attend that kind of AV festivals is rather small. Let me guess that there are in Germany about 500 (including a handful of PTE users), in UK and France perhaps somewhat more. So this group cannot represent the overall market situation.

Best regards,

Xaver

The one ProShow sequence that was entered into the Nationals, was by someone who normally works in Film & Video rather than AV which is traditionally 'still' images, although there were several that had some video included.

PTE is the choice of most AV enthusiasts in the UK.

Hi guys,

Actually, Xaver is only trying to put things into perspective. This is the precise reason why PTE must also expand to larger markets. The AV market world-wide is not a huge market and the position of PTE among AV competitors is already at the top and for good reasons. On the other hand, to gain a much wider audience and more market share for the product, it's necessary to expand the presence of PTE into alternative lucrative markets

Best regards,

Lin

Hi Robert,

Thanks so much for the report and break-down!

Congratulations to Igor and the development team for creating a fantastic product which allows AV creators to produce such impressive shows! That 98 percent of the shows were created with PTE is indeed impressive! That speaks volumes about the utility of this great product.

Best regards,

Lin

Hello Igor

Of course I would welcome it if you wish to use this information for marketing purposes. It is quite a spectacular success for PTE and we continue to spread the word about it.
