  1. As I recall Andy Savage did a similar thing with a boat moving up a canal. Ken

    Hi, Yes I sure did.

My Narrow Boat trip timelapse is available HERE. 33Mb

The trip is made from 639 photos!

Its worth noting that inserting the same 639 photos into PTE over and over does not increase the size of the final exe. I have inserted the 639 photos 3 times over, each time with a different delay for that group.

Also you may like a later timelapse I made taken from the dashboard of a car at night. This one has the advantage of being able to pause and rewind.

    Car journey timelapse available HERE.

    This contains 428 photos.

I intend to make several more timelapse movies and also some stop motion stuff.

Using PTE is a lot better than trying to make a movie with media player, There are several movie versions on my Broadband Enhanced section of timelapse movies.

    Thanks

  2. Yes Wally, Adaware does not always find things. I have found that Spyware-remover by BPS seems better at the job.

Personally I tend to reformat my hard disk every year or so, as this is the only real way to clean up everything.

On the new install make sure you start by getting all the service packs before installing anything else.

Make sure you have a firewall, idealy a hardware one.

  3. Hope this helps.......

If you are talking about Webpage based popups (i.e the ones which show up when you are browsing websites) then the best thing is to use the Free google toolbar.

    Get it here :

    The free google toolbar

If you are getting popups on sites which are on paid for domains (i.e. not free webspace hosting then it may be because your PC is infected with spyware/pestware). This is something which virus checkers do not flagup but are a right pain. They show popup adverts at random intervals when your browser is running. They can be checked for and killed using software such as adaware (free).

The the final kind of popup is windows messenger service (2000 and XP only), this will be a windows dialogue type box in the centre of the screen with an OK button. This is easy to fix.....

    How to stop messenger service.

Hope this helps, I have suffered from all three types of popups over the years.

    Thanks

  4. I think the best bit of software for editing Audio files is Goldwave.

It has been around since the early days of PC's and is packed with features. It is shareware but fully working which allows you to see if its the right kind of program for you before you buy it.

It copes with MP3 and WMA files and just about every other audio format you can think of.

Try Goldwave and see what you think.

    Hope this helps.

    Cheers
