  1. This seems to be the same problem I faced recently and answered in this thread: http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=8492

I had to reduce percentage to get full image on my Pioneer Plasma TV. Originally I reduced to size as shown in TV Safe Area, but have found that I could go slightly larger than that shown (85%) and still fit my TV. It seems to me that the Safe Area is not correct for all TV types, but I maybe (probably) be wrong in that assumption.

  2. I understand now why I can view it OK on my computer but still would like to know where I am going wrong. The image shows fine in the preview area, although touching the edges at the top/bottom and left/right when the image is full height and/or width.

    Can anyone put me right?

    Cheers

  3. Hi, I've tried finding a solution to my problem but cannot find anything.

Perhaps someone can help me. I realise I'm doing something wrong.

I made a show with images at 1920 x 1080 and when making a DVD via Videobuilder the results are cropped slightly.

Everything shows OK when previewing on my monitor (24" iMac using Bootcamp) but not in the screen at the top right hand (size set at 16:9DVD). Should I have the size of my jpeg's smaller than I have them to enable the full image to show correctly (Black border around everything)?

    Thanks

  4. Hi all, I noticed a topic on using PTE on a Mac and needed some info from you (did not want to hijack the other thread).

I am currently the Chairman of the Norwich & District Photographic Society (see here: http://ndps.co.uk/index.htm ) and we are thinking of buying (or leasing) a MacBook to show presentations at our member's evenings.

We currently use a member's Laptop PC or Mac as required, usually someone has one with them. It will be much easier to have a dedicated machine with a Committee member to have available.

My thoughts were to get a MacBook as we could run Windows via Bootcamp and therefore only have to have the one machine for use. We could eventually use it for Photoshop demos etc (if we can afford extra software packages).

Can anyone give me any comments on this idea? Are there any problems I should be aware of etc? We cannot afford to buy a MacBookPro.

  5. This worked well for me with the only slight jerk when panning down from the chimneys. Smooth, smooth, smooth. I did not disable Zonealarm or AVG and (at the start) had Spybot checking for problems.

    Use Nvidia GeForce FX5200, 128mb.

    Excellent test, thanks.

Please try this 2 slideshows and tell me if there are jerk :

    Test PZR 1280

    Fantaisies florales

    Thanks

Thanks for the two test shows. I ran them both and the only error on my screen for Fantaisies Florales was a shimmering white line directly at the top of the screen (1600 x 1200 resolution) on the opening black background. This disappeared when the flowers were covering the whole background.

There were two moments of slight jerkiness in the Test PZR, once when the vertical panning commenced up from the Tower and once near the end of the pan. It was not much and could easily be overlooked.

Thank you for the tests I feel a lot better about the final quality of the effects now.

  7. I to have a NVIDIA GeForce FX5200 and get jerky transitions from the Forum members shows in PTE5. I understand the need for more processing power but how does this help when producing a show that is played on a lower spec machine? Will I have to produce a show thinking of what the users machine has as a graphics card?

I am new to piturestoexe and have been looking at the posts here and have not felt like joining in yet as I do not know the software well.

However hearing your news prompts me to give you some support. I also had my Prostate removed back in 1999 at the young age of 51. Early last year I found that it was partly in the bone, however all the nurses and Surgeons I have spoke to aways say one of the following:

Most men with Prostate Cancer die with it not of it.

If you are going to get Cancer then this is the one to get.

Those caught early do not usually get futher symptoms.

I am on Hormone treatment and keep a healthy and positive outlook.

It is not as bad as people would believe.

    Enjoy life to the full!
