  1. Noel

I am having a little difficulty making the system run.

Can you add a bit more detail to this please? Is the problem that you can't get the software to run, or you can, but need to know where to start once it's running.

Thank you all: Barry, I can get the system running as it should, but it seems so different from previous versions I used. I guess I would like help with the project options just to get a simple show of a few images together.

    Thanks

  2. Hello:

I am a junior member and recently entered a mini AV in a club competition. I used "The Dom's" Handwriting template to create the title.

This does show up the power of the animation facility in P to E version 7.0.

I used a couple of other animation features in the show. Two of the three judges dismissed the presentation as "gimmiky" and marked down the show.

Does this mean that one runs a risk like this in utilizing the wonderful feature of 7.0?

    Thanks

  3. I have sent this problem to the support team.

    Further info:

Before this happened,AVG free and Malwarebytes both reported a "FALSE TROJAN".

I used them to "isolate" the viruses

  4. Hello again,

You were good enough to help me with changing the texture in the template I purchased, and it works well for seversl different titles.

Is there a way to increase the size of the characters in th titles that are created. I did try with some of the objects in the "END" slide but not well.

    Thank you

    Noel Harris

  5. Hello Noel,

You can change the "background" at the end of the animation and use an other texture or a photography :

    - select the “End” slide and open the "Objects and Animation" window.

    - Select the “handwriting-texture” image object (in the objects list)

    - in the Properties tab, click on the folder icon (top right) and browse your hard drive to select an other image.

    I hope it helps. :-)

    Hello Again;

The changes of the textures is working well in the titles I have set up. Is there a way to increase the size of the created titles on thse backgrounds,to highlight them further. It would seem that I would have to change all 3 - black, white and shadow settings?

    Thank you

    Noel

    Hello "The Dom"

    Thanks for the reply.

Your advice worked perfectly. This is a great template!

I am going to use it again in another A.V.

  7. Kieron,

I am glad to know you like it.

    Thanks for your compliments.

This special letter is not included in the template right now but I can add it if you wish.

    Please let me know.

    Hello;

I bought and have used the handwriting template in my application. Took a while to understand it ,but I am a very junior member. The template is great!!

Can you explain how i could change the "background" to the finished title when it is displayed. I want to use the background slide I have used in another part of the application. Thanks

  8. Sure, just set the opacity values as you want them on a pair of keyframes. You can use the start and end keyframes of the motion or introduce extra keyframes just for opacity control. Its all there on the Animation tab.

    regards,

    Peter

Thanks for your reply. I tried your second suggestion, setting key frames for the specific text object. The results are just what I wanted.

    Great forum!

  9. Hello. I use P2E deluxe beta 15 ans Windows XP.

I would like to use the Opacity option in my animation. eg if panning part of a title or end credit text on a slide ,I would like to have Opacity at )% at start of pan and build up to 100% at the end and similar effects. Can this be done?. Thank you

  10. Ever since I was a boy, I was captivated by prehistoric times. I recall a radio show for schools back in the early 50's where the narrator spoke as if he was there, millions of years ago. I could almost see what he was describing.

The inspiration came after reading an information board in the Tambourine Mountains in July 2011, which said that the vegetation we now see around us, is still much the same as it was 25 million years ago.

    Just imagine it.

  11. Hi Noel,

Perhaps you should have put the title of you show in the subject box rather than"new version etc" but I can't talk as I only had one response to my latest show. Anyway I liked the way you presented the show with good use of PTE facities. Personaaly I found the portraits too harsh although I get the impression this is what you wanted to do. They certainly were eye catching and I look forward to seeing more of your work.

I do thank Greg,Andrew and Mick for your responses.

Thay offered the sort of practical advice I was looking for. I apologise for my impulsiveness regarding responses.

I will apply the suggestions in a rework of the AV.

    Thanks everybody!

  12. Hello,I uploaded an A.V. some time back but work pressures killed my spare time. I have retired now and returned to P2E with version 7 beta 13.

I have uploaded to The Cottage (thanks Bill),a short AV titled "10 Portraits".

I would surely appreciate any sort of comments from the contributing experts on this Forum, to see if I am on the right track. Thank you!

    Hello all:

I was a little dissapointed that only one of the many contributors to this Forum responded to my request for comment on my A.V. "Ten Portraits" ,on Beechbrook Cottage.

I am only seeking help and advice.

  13. Hi NoelH

Whilst not claiming to be an expert, I have seen & made a lot of slide shows.

Comments on your show, Great photographs, excellent music, did what it said on the tin.

    Yachtsman1.

BTW Who is the fat guy in the trilby hat ;)

Thanks Yachtsman1,for your comments. The "fat guy in the trilby" was one of the models that came along for my club's photoshoot.

Not "beautiful",but he had a lot of character in his face.

  15. Noel:

    Nice re-working.

I see you changed the images to all the same size and removed the borders. Looks much better now, less distracting without all the oddities.

You've also moved the text to the top. Maybe a slight refinement on that and have the text alternate from side to side so it does does transition through the last text. When the transition is as slow as it is (for good reason) it does mush up the text in transition.

By the way, when text appears with a picture, the viewer's eyes often go to the text as compared to the picture. (Just as the viewer will pick up on eyes in people's faces, and the brightest spot in a picture). I am not recommending doing away with the text as it works OK here, just wanted to mention a potential drawback. I use text at times and at other times I use voice-overs.

The sunrise is now lined up very well with itself, looks great !

As Ken says one picture still looks pixellated and two more look like they possibly were enlarged beyond their best looks. (Morning's first light and the one after of the wave hitting the rock)You obviously have worked with the image just before the beauty of flowers.

I assume you have considered the other suggestions (and that is what they were - suggestions) and have decided to leave the defaults in Project Options as is. No problem so long as you are aware of it and doing it for a purpose.

It is certainly coming along well.
