Hi Luc,

V5.00beta is so far back in time I cannot remember exactly what it gives you or how it works. But I do recall that the manual control of sequences was not active in some of the early betas during the various v5.xx beta programmes. Maybe that is what you are up against. That's the bad news. Now the good news!!

You do not have to remake your sequences if you upgrade to the latest version. Just open the .pte file into the new version, do a File...Save As... under a new name so that you do not over-write your current file and then continue with your development.

PTE project files are "upwards compatible" (i.e. you can load a .pte file made with lower PTE version into a higher PTE version) but they are not "downward-compatible" (i.e. you cannot load a .pte file made with a higher PTE version into a lower PTE version and expect it to work properly. It might; but there again, it might not).

Hi Luc,

My technique would be as follows:

- Project Options...Advanced... tick "Permit control of show using keyboard"

- Project Options...Advanced... Mouse Buttons: Left=Next Slide; Right=Previous Slide

Then I use the spacebar to Pause the sequence and to Resume the sequence. At any time I can use the Mouse Buttons or the Left and Right cursor keys to move forwards or backwards through the sequence.

Hello Peter,

The "Permit control of show using keyboard" is on the main Tab and is marked.

I tryed to use the mousebuttons on several possebilitys and none of them worked?!

First with the left on previous and the right on next slide so that people will be able to pause the slideshow with the spacebar. Should it be something with the version it is made of (V5.00 beta 6) ?

When I Update my version I have to remake it ALL over, ain't it?

Hello,

I had a diapo on climbing Mt-Blanc made with v5.00 beta 6 and want to re-edit this diaporama with putting a possibility to pause the diapo.

I did it allready with a later version v5.00 beta 11a. Here I could pause the slideshow with the tab bar or left mouse click.

Is there someone who could explain me what I do wrong and how I can arrange that pause tab.

In the V5.00 beta 11a I putted on the projectoptions - advanced - mousbuttons: left: pause and right: none.

I toughd it should work well?

Can anyone help me out here?!

Hi,

I'm very glad to see the progress in PTE.

But now I need a porama that shows the possebilities and a how to.

Next week I'll have a visit in a underwaterfotoclub to show how it works (how to create a diaporama)

It would be great to show it with an excisting show of how to create.

I didn't had the time to create any cause I am creating a show for november 25th (Tour du Mont-Blanc)

Belgium mite have new users of PTE next month.

I am a new user of PTE 5 and looking for how to put text on the slides.

In PTE 4.48 it was easy but in the newer version I don't find it!

Is it not yet incomplemented or what?

I would love also to know how to put two sounds (bckgrmusic and a voice) together.

Is it possible to put 2 different mp3-files on a PTE-show?

Hello everyone,

I've just put together an AV of my holiday in Wengen in Switzerland this year. I thought I would also do a first for me and upload it to Beechbrook. I would really appreciate comments on the work please. I hoped to capture the atmosphere of the place and record memories of a beautiful place. The yodelling music was an experience we heard while there and I thought this recording went perfectly with the mountain scenery. Next holiday I will take my recorder with me and capture original sound

Does this problem happen if you create EXE file with slide-show and run it?

If yes, please say me about file size of this EXE file.

This problem happens with both, preview and EXE file

The ERROR is given on the same moment (chrono) and picture.

I first check the full show in the preview to be sure everything is OK.

I thought it was maybe only in the preview and not the EXE but it isn't.

The full version with music is about 97.679Kb (95.3Mb)

All the pics are 1024 by 678 and from 38Kb to 1.600Kb

First everything worked fine but after changing some text........

I made my first diaporama and all went very good.

Now I have tried to change some stuff and checked it by the previewbutton.

Almost at the end of the show he's giving me this error:

Exeption EInvalidOp in module P2E_PREV.EXE at 00068561.

Invalid floating point operation.

I tried to arrange it by cutting 1 pic of the show as well as changing (updating) to a newer version of P2E.

My version was 4.43 and is now 4.46

I thought that it should be solfed by updating it but it isn't.

Anyone who nows how I can solf this problem?
