[Cliff Palace at Mesa Verde]

Hi,

This is a single slide slideshow. Well, actually three if you count the title and ending slides but the main slide is 10 megabytes and about 6,000 by 1500 pixels in dimensions. I was wondering how smoothly it plays on different levels of video cards, etc., so would appreciate some feedback on this.

This slide show created with v4.48

There is only one case when slide show created in v4.48 stops on a first slide. When no sound card installed or it disabled.

Slide shows created in version 5.0 always play with or without sound card.

Please let me know - what exact beta version you used for your slide show?

What version of Windows on PCs of those people where it didn't work?

If Windows 98, we know about this problem and it will be fixed very soon.

I couldn't download your slide show, the download URL doesn't work.

I used the current stable version (not beta) and have XP at home where I created it. I downloaded to my office laptop and have the same problem. (it is XP)

I have fixed the URL, hope you can download it now.

This is my second slideshow with PTE, hope you like it.

Some people have emailed me that they could not play it on laptop (it starts but hangs on the opening slide) but have no problems playing it on PC.

Is there any reason for this? Your feedback will be appreciated.

You are right about the transition. I've not used PTE often though I own it for more than a year.

Dom, No use of special effects, I did mention that am not a big fan of special effects. It is the exposure.

It's my fault. I just deleted the file as it was a trial version with copyrighted music. I have now added RFM and file is being uploaded. May take 5-7 more minutes to get uploaded at website.

My name is Prashant Khapane (from India, working in Germany for last 7 years as scientist) and photography is my hobby (mostly landscape). I created this show for last christmas and presented it at our organizations christmas party. This year am presenting it at Fotoclub in Göttingen.
