  1. Ken,

My normal process when creating a slideshow is as follows:

    1. Shoot the image in RAW format

    2. Convert from RAW with Adobe Camera RAW

    3. Edit in Photoshop

    4. Crop and size the image for PTE (1920 x 1200 or 1920 x 1080)

    5. Save as a JPEG, typically with a compression quality of 6, but higher for a deep zoom

    6. Import into PTE

    Don

I think you have to convert in SRGB profile before saving in Jpeg...

  2. i think the more important problem is that when you chooose 90% in the options screen the main image dont follows if there are several keypoints on the main image...this simple exemple shows that you can't do a dvd without extra solutions like a rectangle as parent even if you only zoom on a single picture !!!

  3. I think I have answered my own question to Igor.

If I use "% of slide to show main image" I can change the Main image (Parent) from 100% to 90% at any time during or after the creation of the project to create a "TV Safe Zone".

If the main image is always used as the Parent to ALL subsequent additions all of the children will be reduced proportionately.

this solution suppose that main image is allways 100% (or 90 % for DVD), it is not possible to zoom or pan this image...

a virtual main image as parent at 100% of the format we choose in projects/screen options seems the best solution

  4. Hello Maurice,

thanks for your reply and your time. Perhaps I was not clear enough in my previous post. In fact the file attached to my post was reporting the modification exactly as Lin suggested to do and it works.

I made also the same modification as yours and you can observe that in the customization window : when the keyframes are separated at D, you get two windows for slopes adjustment, one for movement between B and D another one for movement between D and E. I obtain the same result whatever the slope specification between B and D and even if slopes are opposite for Zoom and Span. That means that it is not taken into account for movement calculation between B and D. That was that I tried to explain at the end of my previous post.

That also the reason why I said it seems there is no link between keypoints specification (P and Z are both unused for salomon between B and D) and the customization of non-linear mode (we need to separate keyframes only for non-linear modes). But it was just for a better understanding of non-linear mechanisms. And also to highlight this point in order to help people working on PTE new version to improve or ease the use of this very interesting function. In any case my problem is solved.

    Best regards

    Daniel.

it is evident that when there is no variation betweeen to points you can choose any mode the result is always no variation..you need only to specify that there are two zones and programm the slopes in the zone where it is useful...

it is recommanded to customize all (pan, zoom, rotate) but in your exemple without rotation it is unuseful

i dont realy understand what is your problem..

i dont realy understand your problem...

  5. Igor,

Still have a problem with the custom start screen in Beta 9a. :(

The screen now shows but the "Run" and "Exit" buttons are missing off the bottom (I always untick the "Help" button) so there is no way to run the show. The area appears to be behind the taskbar, but even hiding the taskbar does not allow it to be seen. The startup image is a 1024 by 768 .jpg

One slide show without music attached.

    Regards,

    Dave

For me it is ok with beta9a the run and exit button are present are do their job
