Would it be possible in animations to allow different means of blending, as in photoshop, of layered objects. I have done quite a lot of this with some dramatic results but only in stills. Do do so under animation I think would offer great creativity.

When you try out Bruce's suggestion you might also like to try setting the image duration and transition time to be the same. If you set a long duration e.g. 10 seconds or more, this will give a slow dreamy feel to the sequence.
With the proposal that you extend the keypoint beyond the time limit of slide1 and into slide 2 to give extra dissolve time, if slide 2 were to be blank, have an object of nil opacity, or a very small object, then if I have understood the technique correctly, it is suggested that slide one object would continue to appear in the blank space of slide 2. I cannot get this to happen. Am I losing the thread.

With version 5.1 I am trying to make a series of AVI s from pte projects. One or two have worked well, some cause a system crash during the process, and some finish the process but the sound is displaced, broken up, or not there at all. I have found that using the pte video codec I get no video at all, only sound; the codec that works best is PICvideo mjpeg. If I break the projects up from about 150 slides each to a series of 10 then this is better; there are animations on most slides. I have removed and reinstalled pte, even downloaded a fresh copy, all to no avail. Any ideas as to what is going wrong.

Do you agree, if I will integrate "Customize synchronization" with main window in next version 5.2 (after 5.1 which scheduled for November)?
Currently timeline located in a separate window and not all functions available for slideshows on the timeline which available for slides in main window. Also you can't quickly switch between slides and timeline modes.
I suggest that "Timeline mode" button (renamed "Synchronization") in the main window switchs Slide list to the Timeline mode (with waveform). You can work with keypoints and access to all other features, including creating slideshow, access to Objects and animation editor which are impossible now from timeline mode. Also preview area of a slide will much larger at right-top corner of a window). Pressing "Slide list mode" will switch interface back to usual main window mode with Slide list.
In fact, no separate window more and unified interface.

I have pte ver 5
With any given slide with parent-child objects and multiple keypoints, is there a means of moving them all together, keeping the same time separations but altering the start point.
For example, a with slide of ten seconds duration and, say twenty keypoints in the first five seconds. can I move all together so as to start at two seconds from the beginning

I don't know why it wouldn't work for you - on my system when I select "Customize slide", check "Scale keypoints ...", and then change the duration time for that slide, the times for two test keypoints remain fixed, as indicated by "O&A / Animation / Keypoint Time". Then when I de-select this option, scaling continues as before.

I have what I believe to be the latest version of pte5. When I wish to lengthen the time of a slide, with the 'scale keypoints' unchecked, then the keypoints are scaled. With the box checked, then they are of course scaled. I used to be able to get the no scaling effect. Where have I gone wrong ?

I have a number of pte presentations, over time the scource images have come from what is now a bit of a jumble. I would like to change them to a more rational scource but without changing each slide separately. That is move the image files to 'new folder' and then change the reference globaly to 'new folder' Can this be done.
slow running .exe file

I have a sequence of 30 slides, all with animations of some sort. When run via preview they all run quite happily, but when converted to an .exe file the show hangs up for about 30 secs on always the same slide, just about halfway through, and then restarts two slides later, having missed out about 30 secs. It would appear that some part is taking too long to load and the time schedule just misses it out. Any ideas ?
