  1. after many months of sucessfull running version 6 and 6.5 I have encounterd a probelm that when I launch the programe

from a desk top shortcut [ as I nomaly do ] I get the message...

    missed images,,,,picture:c\programe Files [x86 ] winsoft Pictures to exe\6.5\all\navbar.ini

if I click ok the programe runs ok but will not create an exe. file to run the sequence outside the programe.

If I run the programe as an administrator this ''error does not happen. and I can create an exe file as normal.

I have been testing the beta version 7 but have since un-installed that in case it was affecting the early versions

    but the problem persists..

    help please

  2. I have just upgraded to version 6 with the video builder option

the image quality of the version 6 straight sequence is superb

BUT when I create a DVD from the same sequence the image quality is

very much degraded in particular there is a complete lack of sharpness.

Has anyone experienced this, and is there a soluttion or perhaps I have my

    DVD options set up incorectly.

I am using re-sized image files 1024 by 768 pixel at 100 dpi

My OS is windows 7 but a trila run on an XP system Pc prodiced the same

result....none of the images are truly sharp where as they are in the non-dvd version

    of the sequence.

any help or advice will be very welcome

  3. I'm curious. There have been numerous people asking about adding video clips to their PTE shows and I wonder if I could get some feeling for the number of people who would want to add short video clips to a show now?

What if you could add small video clips, adjust the position of these clips on the screen, size the video dynamically, run other slides behind the video and animate other objects on the same screen while the video was running? Would that be something of interest?

If so, respond here and let's discuss it...

    Best regards,

    Lin

    Hello Lin

Yes please...I do like to add some video footage into my slide show Av's and can at this time

only do that by using Adobe Elelments.

Pro show Gold have just offered this facillity which is good, but firstly I would have to buy the software

and it does not allow any editing of the video.

This latter thing is not essential as I can still do that in Adobe, but better if I could tweak the length of the clip inside

    pictures to exe.

  4. many thanks Lin.

I will take a look at both of these and it would seem from your notes that what I seel to do is

    indeed possible with masking.

    many thanks.

    Bob.

    Hi Bob,

There are no pre-programmed "transitions" for objects within a slide other than the slide transition itself, but it is entirely possible to do "wipe" type transitions via the masking. Any object may be placed within a mask and that mask can then be used to make all or part of any object visible or invisible at any time.

For example if you look at the sample link below you will see a text object which disappears within the frame of the picture during display. The same technique (gradient mask) in this case can be used on any object.

Of course you can also fade out or fade in any object via the opacity and keyframing capability, but the masking allows a virtually unlimited number of possibilities for customizing the effect.

And the PTE file to see how it's done:

    Best regards,

  5. As a newcomer, I have this question please.

when a 2nd or further image is added to a slide in the object and animation option...

can a transition such as a wipe be applied to that image

I have learnt how to control the opacity of the images so fade in / out is ok

    thank you.
