colin hill Posted March 9, 2013 Report Share Posted March 9, 2013 Hi all,I just loved the city of Fremantle or "Freo" as the locals call it.The city is a major port of Western Australia and is situated south west of Perth at the mouth of the Swan River.It was a pleasure walking around the city centre where many of the old buildings have been restored. The west end of townis acclaimed as one of the best examples of a victorian port streetscape in the world. The port hosts big fishing fleets,container ships and large cruise vessels. The city is a hub for art lovers, musicians and street performers.The Fremantle prison is well worth a visit and I enjoyed the tour that I went on.
