  1. I suggest another way. In my less expensive photo collections when people tell me they want lots of nice images created BUT will decide quickly which they will make into enlargements and don't want to get very fance about it, I give them a TIMED Photo CD Index of all their images (weddings, mitzvahs, family celebrations, etc). IF I want them to have a fully functioning version later, I can recreate the slideshow with only ONE change to the master program and burn a new CD. Then I give them the new UNtimed version, and they feel I have given them a significant gift and souvenir of their event... which I have! Hope this helps.
  2. Friends, I have created a gradient blue slide and on top of that used the Object Editor to layout some text to use as links. It works really well and my brides and grooms love it. Now that I have done that, how can I save these Object-Editor-Slides somewhere so I can easily use them again the next time I create a show? I can copy and paste one from one show to a new show, but can't seemt to do it (EASILY) for more than one slide to a new show. Suggestions? Charlie Seymour, Jr. outside Philadelphia, PA
  3. Now I'm REALLY confused. If each slide is timed and each transition too (down to the millisecond), WHY would the slides be playing at a different rate. I was the first to post. My difficulty comes from my desk model to my laptop, where the show finished early, with music still to play. Though I have not synced my slides and music, I thought the timing of the slides would stay as I programmed them to be. NO?
  4. Having set up a slideshow on my editing computer and then transferring it to my laptop for playback, I noticed that the music played differently. Musical passages that used to be timed well to individual slides no longer is. The music is NOT timed and is set to play freely (one time through, only), but it is playing differently on the laptop than on the editing machine. The editing computer is a P4, 2.0 Ghz with 1 GB of memory. The laptop is a P4, 2.0 Ghz with 512 of memory. The slideshow I have set up uses two mp3 files. The first one seems to start when it is supposed to, but I can't understand why they don't finish at the same time. Any thoughts? Charlie Seymour, Jr. Outside Philadelphia, PA, USA
  5. I have been graduated to the 'next level' of use here with P2E and the results can be quite stunning, so some of my customers have said. I created a Wedding Samples slideshow, combining several weddings to show the style of my work. I used the Object Editor to add some simple text at the beginning and then did disolves to black (well, my gradient blue to black, actually) lending more of a video feel. What happened was strange. On my main computer, the Title of my piece is centered, having used the Object Editor and the Center Button under Set Position. It worked great. But once I transferred this slideshow to my laptop (from where I will present it, most of the time), the title is no longer centered. ALL the images are dead-on centered on BOTH my editing and playback computers, but the title is centered only on my editing machine. Oops. Anyone know why this might be? Thought I don't think it should matter how I set up my "screen" in my slideshow (since all the slides are showing up centered), I have the slideshow screen set to Window Mode without border, set at 1024 x 768, which happens to be the resolution of both computer screens. OK... what gives? Charlie Seymour, Jr. Outside Philadelphia, PA, USA
  6. I finally answered my own question. When you HIDE the cursor, the navigation bar disappears too, since you will have no cursor to use with it. Restore the cursor, and back comes the Nav Bar. Charlie
  7. I have created many slideshows with Picturestoexe. Now with the beta (not sure which number it was... just downloaded #7 and will try that) and I can't get the Navigation Bar to appear in my show. I have it checked on the page where I have always checked it, and from where it used to work. I get the comment appearing correctly (I choose to use the name of the file) but the Navigation Bar doesn't appear. Anyone else having this problem? Anyone have the solution? 8. Thanks for your comment. No... I want to use the entire screen, or as much of it as I can. Is there anyway I can Center the background image, the way all the other images are automatically centered?
  9. Friends, What a great forum this is... and thanks to all who have helped me learn how better to use this terrific program. I have created several slideshows on my P4, Windows 2000 computer and my customers (brides, parents of kids in theatre, and several more) really seem to like the results. But I can use some help. To put my company name behind all the slides (ahhhh, marketing!), the only way I saw to do this was to create an image and tile it. So... I created a really BIG image and since it was larger than my 19", 1024 x 768 monitor, my company name sits in the middle at the top with a blue down to black gradiant background. I set all the images to be 75% of their full size and all this fits great. On my machine, anyway. I've seen it on two others, and they have given me pause: 1. This was a 21 inch monitor, perhaps my same resolution, so the company title tiled and reappeared at the bottom. Wasn't horrible, but I didn't like seeing my company name twice on the screen, and certainly not behind the navigation bar. 2. On another computer, probably 640 x 480, I saw my company title NOT centered, and not totally visible, running off the right side of the monitor. What I am surmizing is that the image I created is larger than this screen and since it is tiled it starts at the upper left corner of the screen and layouts from there. The images were still centered as was the navigation bar, but not my title slide. So.... any suggestions? Any way to create a gradiant slide with my company name to place behind all my slides without creating the problems on different monitors? Thanks for your help.
