The latest version of PTE makes light work of adding and muting sound, but I haven't found a way of splitting a sound file added to the timeline so that part of a recorded commentary can be cut and moved along to start at another slide. Am I missing a trick or could this feature be a future addition? I appreciate this could be done with an external editor, but it would improve workflow to do it within PTE.

Hi, Success at last. I had to include two lines of preamble before the actual key but now it has been accepted!The Beechbrook utility was very useful. Regards, Steeplejack

Hi, Why is this so complicated? I have enjoyed using PTE for many years, now on version 7.5.10. I want to upgrade to version 8. The current licence key is nearly the length of a book! After much cursing, I managed to extract it from my registry and found it in an old email from you. But when I try to enter it in the appropriate upgrade screen, I get the licence key is incorrect or damaged. I've spent an hour on this and have lost the will to live or use PTE. Regards,
