  1. Affinity 3 (Canva) is now free - I have used affinity since version 1. In Affinity it is possible to create transparent pages in SD, HD, Vertical video, Social Media Portrait post, QHD, UHD (4K) DCI 4K and 5K2K video sizes. While this has been available in many programs over the years, the fact that Affinity is now free will give more people access to its tools. You can then create text, logos, pictures, borders or anything that you would put in any publishing programme and export it complete with transparent backgrounds. If you want to put scrolling text with logo's or whatever, you can stretch theAffinity page's length to anything you want export it as a .png then import it into PTE and scroll it between two points - if you work at it, you can have scrolling from bottom to top (or vice versa) and from left to right. All you need is the imagination!

  2. Another way would be to output the multiple slides using whatever transition you want to video, then import the video onto a 'single' slide and create whatever text you want over it.
  3. Would it be possible, when in "objects and Animations" to drag layers to change their order it would be quicker than using "bring to front" etc. I very often want to move a layer and it can be annoying when you have 6 or 7 layers and you have to move the layer one at a time - far easier to drag and drop. Am looking forward to the next Update - Enjoy the program. TKS
  4. Hi, while you are doing that, can you provide a vignette effect for video files (which are to placed over a photo background. Also, provide a way of being able to edit the video sound when placed over a photo background.
  5. A quick cheat might be to create the sequence of slides and create a video then import the video and lay the text over it - worth a try perhaps
  6. Hi Jill, Thank you for your advice. I have managed (I think) to overcome the problem - by copying the first slide and then pasting it - as a copy it takes the sound with it, then I just change the picture!! It seems to work Ok Jim
  7. Hi, As a newbie I wonder if anyone can help me with a problem I have linking sound files to a slide. If I create a slide and link a sound to it - no problem. The problem arises when I want to repeat the sound on a different slide. - It is easy to duplicate the sound file and add it manually, but if I then insert a new slide in the show, all of the 'linked' sound files that follow are no longer linked - I don't seem to be able to link a single sound file to multiple slides - can it be done? Jim
  8. A workaround might be to publish the show, extract the show's sound into Audacity - normalize it in Audacity then import the sound as a single file back into the PTE show, deleting all other sounds - you would of course want to do this only when satisfied with the rest of the show. - I agree with you, a "normalize sound" option would be a good addition.
