  1. Igor, I have uploaded file and sent you the link. Jenni
  2. Thanks Igor. Unfortunately this didnt solve the problem. My photoshop steps are racing thru the video. I believe the video was around 30 fps. I did use the PTE converter to convert the video. Thanks, Jenni
  3. I am trying to add a video clip to a pte show. The avi clip was made with CamStudio and is a video of several photoshop steps. The video plays well in windows Media Player but when I play it in PTE, all the steps are speeded up. I'm obviously doing something wrong but I don't know what. thanks in advance, Jenni
  4. Thanks Xaver for your suggestion. Jenni
  5. Well I think I have got it and it seems to work fine. Just one question...do I keep the 5 other slideshows running off the main menu slide? Thanks, JEnni
  6. Thankyou for your method and file. I'm not sure I'm fully understanding but I will try it out tonight. I actually have about 7 buttons on the 1st (menu) slide, each starting a different slideshow and each currently set to "run slideshow with return". Apart from the exe diagram file which has a button on it, the others are just a slideshow. Am I doing this correctly?. Thanks, Jenni
  7. I have 3 exe files. The 1st exe is basically a one page menu with buttons. What I an trying to do is click on a button to run the 2nd exe which is a single slide showing a diagram. Then on this 2nd exe slide i have a button to run a 3rd exe file which is a slide show. What I would like is for the 3rd exe file to return to the 1st exe (menu page) when its finished. The problem I am getting is that the 3rd exe file is returning to the 2nd exe. Is it possible to do what I have described? Im using PTE 5.6. Thanks in advance, Jenni
  8. Thankyou everyone for your comments. Barry, you must have been reading my mind regarding having a blank slide on the screen for a few seconds before the show starts. I have also done a mini show of one page, like an index page, when I an showing several shows and this works well. It's just a little bit more work but if I can't go straight from the desktop with a smooth transition then this is probably the way to go. Thanks again, Jenni
  9. I do use a blank slide at the start and finish. I just don't like the abrupt transition from desktop to blank slide. I did use this feature all the time prior to PTE 5. Thanks for your replies Jenni
  10. Thanks Ken. So are you saying I can't fade the desktop into the 1st slide and I can't fade the last slide into the desktop.? Jenni
  11. How can I show the first transition effect from the desktop in PTE5? i.e. a fade from the desktop to the 1st slide I can't seem to find the option for this as was in previous versions of PTE. Thanks, Jenni
  12. When starting a slideshow from Windows Explore, can someone tell me how to fade the Windows Explore screen into the start of a slideshow, rather than having an abrupt change. I'm using PTE. Thanks, Jen
  13. HI Al, thanks for the reply. I did refer to the full path name of the flash file. I will change this and see if it makes a difference. Cheers, Jenni
  14. HI, I saved a slide presentation as an .exe file in PTE. I had a flash file inserted under 'Run external application'. This all worked fine as a .PTE file and as a .exe file. I saved to CD and tested it in my CD drive. Everything worked fine. The problem is , the flash movie ( for the title of show) didn't work on another computer. Macromedia flash player was installed on this computer. Any suggestions why the flash didn't run on another computer. Thanks in advance, Jenni
