  1. I am using Realtek **97 to create voice files. Have played w/different settings in creating wave files. I understand that 8bit (as opposed to 16bit sampling)/mono (as opposed to stereo) and lower khz (vs higher khz) equates to speed, but at the cost of quality. My first try was stereo, 16bit at 44.1 KHz...BIG file that took a LONG time to load into browser from web page..Not good. So, I went the other extreme dropping from 2+ meg file to 400-500 kb file, which did not sound very good. I am a bit ignorant in this realm and would appreciate some guidance/suggestions. I saw the audacity freeware...will that be helpful/easy to implement into my workflow? Use wave files or convert to mp3? Many thanks! Vernon
  2. After I burned the DVD, the prob went bye-bye. The prob only occurred in the Ulead preview window prior to burn. Only issue now is quality. The burned DVD breaks down a bit, but this was my first try. vf
  3. NEITHER, I assume... I am "testing" the proposed burn withing Ulead..Nothing burned as yet. vf
  4. Ulead MoveFactory4 was bundled w/Asus DVDburner..Finally got it to recognize the PTE-type .AVI temp file. That was a pain..but now fixed. NOW, the music track (mp3) pauses during image/slide transitions. At first, thought it might be the type of transition, but tested alternates and same prob occurred. If you know the fix, I'm all ears! Thanks!! Vernon
  5. OkeeDookee, I finally got Ulead to recognize .AVI by downloading prior suggestion/freeware...Now, during preview in Ulead, mp3 track momentarily stops/continues when slide changes. Pls tell me how to fix/stop. Thanks! Vernon
  6. 4.3 does OK, so long as I do not attempt to synch slides to duration of music. Program runs fine to the end, but any attempt to exit the Preview during the show (click the screen) or at the end fails. End Task in windows tells me the program is not responding. What am I missing? Thanks PS- tried to use search engine in this forum, but problem there... vf

  9. Al... what prompted my interest and attempt was an older post on this forum [look further down the page and you will see the post] (auto run of a P2E on startup of a web page using Frontpage). A responder gave minimum info to the inquirer suggesting avi file with 320x240 window. Looking to do something similar to FLASH, but utilizing this program to pull it off... I realize that the most effective sites are the simple one's, just wanted to incorporate a small framed window that "rolled" on loadup of the page in viewer's browser (not a download of a .exe file). Thanks, vernon
  10. Ok, so I'm ignorant... Now that we're past that! ...LOL Seriously, I am wanting to create an AVI file for inclusion in my web site (photographer). When I look at the multitude of selections, I have no idea as to what to do. I can shoot a good portrait, wedding, etc, but I'm way outta my league with this stuff. I would sincerely appreciate it if someone will help me get this off the ground with some simple to use setting that will work on most (if not all) browsers. I use Xp. Many thanks, vernon
  11. Ken... did the Google thing & got the multitude of hits... just wondering if you or someone else viewing my post have already been there with good results from a particular vendor (such as InfoUSa). vf
  12. Not exactly a question about the software, but I purchased P2exe for marketing purposes. Using a brochure with attached Cd to target Seniors and young families in the $40T-$125T income range. Who of you have purchased mailing lists and what company's a good source? Thanks in advance. vf
  13. I've come close, but haven't found a site that simply allows mp3 downloads w/o license or some other gimick... need tracks for distribution of Seniors/Children/Bridal slide shows (business card cdr's). vf
  14. Thanks Al for your help... would be nice if the folks working on coding would provide some editing features for the "startup window" elements. vf
  15. Thanks for the response... but, I was in full screen mode (not windowed). As a test, I rewrote the project and use "windowed mode" which affected all of the slides (the startup window was as before..showing the blue bordered frame). I rewrote the project a 3rd time... made sure "full screen mode" was checked and then created the startup window followed by a few slides. Same problem... blue frame on the startup window, but the slides were OK. Can't find any tools to edit out the frame. Any ideas? Thanks in advance. vf
