Thank you all for your answers. The picture are taken with a Canon Mark II. The native resolution from my beamer is 1024 x 768. I want to use as much from that resolution as possible. When I take picture of birds it is mostly not a big problem to crop them to 1024 x 768. Most of the time there is enough room in the picture. But with landscapes it's a problem. You make a composition with for example a rock in the foreground. Cropping to 1024 x 768 means that I am loosing a piece of the picture in the width. So I think I will stay with 1024 X 682. The files from my camera are 3000 W and 2000 H so 3:2. I want my pictures to be 1024 by 768 for the projector. I can crop the piture from 3:2 to 4:3 in photoshop. For some pictures not a problem but for others a big problem. How do you crop or resize the images? regards, Jan

Yes my projector is 1024 x 768. I was afraid that when I re-size the laptop screen from 1280x800 to 1024x768 it will look awfull on the beamer. But from you I understand that it's only awfull on the laptop. The projector is still projecting a 1024 x 768 screen. Thanks Jan

I'have to buy a new laptop. Looking through the different type I see a lot off them have a higher resilution as 1024 by 768. I have an almost new beamer. What to buy. I now that it's best as the beamer and the laptop have the same resolution. If I buy a laptop with an higher resolution and put it back to 1024 for a presentation will I see that on the screen? I have a lcd projector with a resolution off 1024x768. Now I've got myself a new laptop. The resolution of this new laptop is 1400x1250. Is this a big problem? I can force the laptop to a resoltion of 1024x768 but than the letters are not so sharp. What to do? Regards, Jan Holland www.aves.nu

I 'am making jpegs of 1024 by 768. Om my computerscreen they look real good. When I project with a beamer, also 1024 by 768 I see squares on the projection screen. What do I see. Are that the pixels from my screen? Is there anything to do about it? Regards, Jan www.aves.nu Holland

Everyone thanks for the great help. This was for me the solution. Thanks Guido It's not necessary to use buttons and navigation bar! If you want change manually most slides, set a very high duration for each slide in "Project Options" (boxig said 5000 sec, but you can select also 500 = 8.3 minutes!). To change slide you can use the mouse, but also Spacebar, or Left Arrow, or Page Down keys on the keyboard (maybe this solution can be more convenient). For pictures you want to see fast, customise your slides (10 - 11 - 12 - 13 in your example) for a minimum time such 1 (or two, or 10 - it is the same) ms, BUT DON'T SET 0 sec. 0 ms.!!! In PTE, this setting locks the slide for an indefinite time. -------------------- Guido Torino, Italy

I'have a slideshow with nature photo's off 150 slides. Most of them fad-in fade-out with a mouseclick in the mean time a tell the audience something about a slide. At a few point i will have a small animations for example a bird landing from the upperleft to the right corner. So during the animation i don't want to click. What i need is that i can tell each slide to wait for the mouseclick to disappear or go automatically. Jan Holland www.aves.nu

Yes, I'have tried. What I did was the following: 1. I removed ( i don't know how it is named in english) the v sign in project options. Display each slide for. 2. The result is when I click with the mouse the next slide comes. 3. Then i want, for example slide 10, 11, 12 and 13 to come automatic for a kind of animation. So i thought i must change in customise slide the setting. Display slide for ? second. I filled in 0 sec and 0 ms. But stil i must click with the mouse for the next slide. Jan Holland

I have not syncronized my show. Is this necessary i don''t use music. All i want is for example in a part of my show that i must click for the next slide and another part in which the next slide comes automatic. Jan Holland

In my slideshow i want this. In parts of the slideshow i will click with the mouse to see the next slide. (no problem) but in other parts of the show i want the slide come automatic. Is this possible? When i change the settings the whole show is automatic or the whole show works with the mouse? Jan
