Recap... In your versions up to 4.48 I was able to use PC guard Win 32. In your latest versions (5.xx) this is nolonger possible. Maybe your application is not using standard Win32 PE (portable executable) but a proprietary (Asprotect Ske?) file format. Most of such files contain internal overlay where you generally store important data. I Think the Internal overlay is repositioned after my protection, and as such, your original construct is then not able to detect and use it afterwards. OK, thats what i have derived from my own musings, as current help is myself. Your program deserves security, as much as what i produce from it. Though inheriting your programs security into my shows should be an option... That being said, P2X has few rivals...

What you have written pertains to an obviously passionate Photographer... one with more sense than money?. When your Graphical images are entirely digitaly based constructs, placed caringly into PTE, and embeded into another not so user friendly environment, as a BUY or SAMPLE option, the effort, money and time taken to do such quality work is why i spare the time in trying to protect my efforts from the layman.... up until Payday atleast

Hi Marian, I Construct two shows from 1 show. The first is a full screen Show with Encrypted header (Password), Basically to deter Extractiion of jpg/Bmp pictures from your show, with a decompiler. The second is the same as the first But is without password and is in Window mode 300 X 200 - too small to gain the full appreciation of your work, but enough to wet there appetite. Also in further using this program, I found that the decrypted show will open itself in the same directory as the encrypted, rather than the TEMP directory on your hard drive. Not good if you burn this to disc as it wont open,(I have worked around this for my own purposes and it works for me...ZIP. Enjoy the Festivities and New Year . Steev

DECOMPILING ...I found this program which can encrypt the whole file, or just the PE Header in your .exe file. I suggest minimum encryption (PE header) as a full encryption (On PII 350MHz computer, 5.45MB file took about 45 mins) With the correct password the file will automatically decrypt and execute your .exe file. The password you enter during encryption is processed with SHA-1 if it is less than 36 characters long. The resultant key is then used to encrypt either part of the file (minimum encryption) or the whole file (maximum encryption). For both encryptions, the part to be encrypted is compressed first to deter cryptoanalysis. The only way to recover the original file (executables only) is when it has been decrypted and is running.
