  1. Thanks for the replies. If I understand correctly it sounds as though the best route is to use Photoshop and crop landscapes to 1024 wide and portraits to 768 high and let the other dimensions take care of themselves OR use Photoshop to create a backgound onto which I would then place one or more images at whatever the aspect ratio happens to be. Is that correct?
  2. Can someone give me advice about how to handle multiple aspect ratio files. At the moment I have requests for slide shows to be made in which I am presented with A4 documents, negatives/positives, prints which have to be scanned. I am also provided with digital camera images. All of which have different aspect ratios. Some opinions would be appreciated on how to best handle the cropping of these files in order that I end up with happy customers !!!
  3. I have recently registered P2E and have just found the need to look at the User Manual but all I find is a small amount about writing to a DVD. Is there or was there ever a User Manual, if so how do I get hold of it?
  4. I have a number of .mov video clips that I want to insert into a PTE presentation. I have tried Dr. Video and then used Customize slide and Run External Application to play the clip. Everything works OK but the slide show keeps going at the same time as the video clip is playing. Is there a way to show some slides, then play the video clip and then when it is finished to carry on with the rest of the slides?
  5. Fred Thanks for your comprehensive reply. It was very useful. I have a big ask of you. I know that you are in the USA and I am in the UK but could you put some money values to your charges. it would help me a great deal. if you would prefer to contact me by e-mail direct then that would be fine.
  6. Can anyone advise me? I have a business idea which involves me producing tailored slide shows for clients. The show would then be supplied to the client on CD or DVD for running on a PC. I would also be producing a copy on DVD for playback on a DVD player connected to a TV. If the client has a web site then I would also make the show available for download. In some cases I would be taking the photographs myself or they may be provided by the client. When the CD/DVD has been supplied to the client they will be giving away the CDs/DVDs to their customers in order to promote their business. Has anyone done something similar? How would I charge for such a service? By the hour? By the number of slides in each presentation? etc. Any guidance would be much appreciated.
  7. Can someone point me in the direction of an article or simple guide on how to use TmpgEnc to convert the P2E AVI file so that I can then use Nero Vision Express 3 to burn a DVD. Also advice on any other tools I need to complete the process would be much appreciated. I am totally new to creating DVDs!!!!
  8. I have created an AVI file using P2E by pressing the Video button and selecting the DVD option. I have then used Nero Vision Express 3 to burn the DVD. When I play it back on my PC's DVD player using Nero ShowTime or PowerDVD the quality (very slightly blurry images, sound is perfect) does not appear to be as good as it is when I just run the show from P2E. My questions are:- a) Is this reduction in picture quality normal when playing the DVD on a PC? Even though the picture quality is not great on the PC, will it be OK when using a DVD player connected to a TV. c) Am I doing something else wrong? P.S. I do not have a DVD player connected to a TV to try it on, but I want to send a DVD to my friend who does.
