  1. I have used pte for years to give my clients a slideshow set to music of their images. I have been having problems with the DVD version of the show...it has been unstable and I just burned

a disc for a wedding client and the show starts very smoothly, but after a few minutes...the show starts to hesitate and "hang up"...it eventually runs again...but has many pauses and glitches.

My images are sized 720x1080 so I have sufficient resolution for the PC version of the show...I am using mpegs for the music portion. Maybe the files are too large?....Also, how do you avoid

having the images appear squashed on a wide screen TV? I would also love to have a simple explanation of converting the show to use on Macs as more and more clients now own them

  2. Yes, I do use Vista. The show in question was made in an earlier version and updated in 5.5...so this could be the problem. The transition problem I am having is with an animation that I tried in an earlier project unrelated to the present one...it seems to repeat itself in subsequent versions.

  3. I have used pics to exe for years, but am having problems with the newest version. One...sometimes after I create and run a show, I cannot stop it with esc key or mouse buttons..it just keeps running until I do cntl alt delete. Second, the horizontal pictures are being scaled larger than the vert ones and I am losing image clarity on the horiz images. 3rd...I tried using some custom effects on one show, but it really didn't work...now the program seems to set the same effect for each new show I make and I get an error message.

  4. I have 17" monitor which has a native resolution of 1900 x 1200 pixels. So, when I create a show with the files at 1024x768, the pictures only fill about half the screen...however, they do look very sharp. Now when I tried to resize my monitor

resolution to 1024x768, the photos were bigger, but they looked absolutely terrible...soft and pixelated. Then there is the problem of my projector, which is only 800x600...nothing really looks good on that. BTW...from another thread...it said

that dpi doesn't matter...I tried using a lower dpi (36) and the image was only half the size...so evidently...it does matter. Short of resizing my files to 1900x1200, which would make them too large for normal resolution monitors.

  5. I am a professional photographer and use pics as a customer item to show proofs. This has worked ok for a number of years...but I now want to project shows in high quality format. I have an SGVA projector and the quality of the images

is not satifactory a normal view distances (8-10 ft). I want to upgrade to xga or sxga. Has anyone done this? What would be an adequate projector....and what size should the files be that I use in the show?

  6. I make slide show presentations on cd 's for my customers and I just bought little used compaq pc with a 733 MHs pentium cpu. The unit works great and plays music from other sources, but will not play the music embedded in my pics to exe show. Otherwise, show runs great. I put in an audio cd and it is fine. What could this be?
