  1. I just converted a slide show for mobile devices....how do I share it with others. How do they upload into their phone?
  2. I edit my srgb jpegs on a calibrated monitor...they print just like I see them...so that's good. However when I play a pics exe show back on the same monitor...they come out way too saturated...however when I play them for a client on my projector...they seem fine...what's going on?
  3. First of all , I have been using pte 6.0 for years...got a new computer and loaded it up and it wouldn't take my old keys. So...I boughjt 8.0 upgrade and it works, but now when I save the work.and go back to it...it loads up as 6.0 and some files are missing I get a funny box that comes up
  4. Thanks for the reply...yes I have plenty of HD space on C...I am running multiple drives in a terabyte system. I will try checking those boxes. I am also going to try a different disc media.. DVD-R...maybe that is a factor too.
  5. Correction....the music files are MP3, not mpeg
  6. I have used pte for years to give my clients a slideshow set to music of their images. I have been having problems with the DVD version of the show...it has been unstable and I just burned a disc for a wedding client and the show starts very smoothly, but after a few minutes...the show starts to hesitate and "hang up"...it eventually runs again...but has many pauses and glitches. My images are sized 720x1080 so I have sufficient resolution for the PC version of the show...I am using mpegs for the music portion. Maybe the files are too large?....Also, how do you avoid having the images appear squashed on a wide screen TV? I would also love to have a simple explanation of converting the show to use on Macs as more and more clients now own them Andy C
  7. I am a pc user, but many of my customers own Macs...is there any software avail. that will let me produce a slide show that can be played on a mac?
  8. Yes, I do use Vista. The show in question was made in an earlier version and updated in 5.5...so this could be the problem. The transition problem I am having is with an animation that I tried in an earlier project unrelated to the present one...it seems to repeat itself in subsequent versions.
  9. I have used pics to exe for years, but am having problems with the newest version. One...sometimes after I create and run a show, I cannot stop it with esc key or mouse buttons..it just keeps running until I do cntl alt delete. Second, the horizontal pictures are being scaled larger than the vert ones and I am losing image clarity on the horiz images. 3rd...I tried using some custom effects on one show, but it really didn't work...now the program seems to set the same effect for each new show I make and I get an error message.
  10. Just downloaded newest version I am using vissta ultimate. I created a slideshow like I normally , but after starting the show...I can't stop it with the mouse or the keyboard. I have to use task manager.
  11. I want to use the jpeg name of each picture in the slide with the new version...I can't seem to make it happen.
  12. I have 17" monitor which has a native resolution of 1900 x 1200 pixels. So, when I create a show with the files at 1024x768, the pictures only fill about half the screen...however, they do look very sharp. Now when I tried to resize my monitor resolution to 1024x768, the photos were bigger, but they looked absolutely terrible...soft and pixelated. Then there is the problem of my projector, which is only 800x600...nothing really looks good on that. BTW...from another thread...it said that dpi doesn't matter...I tried using a lower dpi (36) and the image was only half the size...so evidently...it does matter. Short of resizing my files to 1900x1200, which would make them too large for normal resolution monitors.
  13. I am a professional photographer and use pics as a customer item to show proofs. This has worked ok for a number of years...but I now want to project shows in high quality format. I have an SGVA projector and the quality of the images is not satifactory a normal view distances (8-10 ft). I want to upgrade to xga or sxga. Has anyone done this? What would be an adequate projector....and what size should the files be that I use in the show?
  14. Thanks, I tried that and it didn't work. I assume you have to use the dialog in customize this slide.
  15. I have a show where the last slide remains on screen...I would like the music to keep playing while it stays on screen...is there a way to do this?
