  1. Nevermind! I just figured out how to track a ticket and it looks as though someone has replied but I never got an email. I"ll check my spam to see what's happened there. Apparantly a refuned has been issued and must not have hit my bank yet. Thanks pix2exe!
  2. I purchased pix2exe months ago and couldn't get it to work. Life got hectic and I never went back in to play with it. I then forgot that I had purchased pix2exe already and purchased it again this past weekend and the second I saw the key (that didn't work for me originally) I remembered that someone had sent me a new version of my first key and I had already purchased it. I then did a search in my email (which thankfully I never delete and found the fix for the old key and I'm up and running with the old key). So now, $150.00 later I need to get the money that I just spent on the second one back and I can't get anyone to return my emails from pix2exe. Any suggestions would be great. If an admin for pix2exe reads this I already have a ticket in and can be reached at jeffandtammymac@aol.com Thanks so much! Tammy
  3. I'll go ahead and answer my own question now that I figured it out in case anyone else has this issue. Itunes import default is no longer set for mp3, so you have to go in and manually change that before you import.
  4. With the old version of pix2exe and itunes (the combo that I had on my old computer) I would download songs from itunes.......burn a CD with the songs.....and then import the songs back in and I could use them in itunes. Now all of a sudden when I import the songs they're not showing up as a music option if pix2exe. I need to use these particular songs for a funeral tomorrow......help!!!!!!
  5. Thank you so much Lin! I got it to work, but now I'm having music issues. I'll start a new thread for that.
  6. Thank you Lin! Then perhaps that's my problem. I'm trying to do it the old way, but I do indeed now have the deluxe version.
  7. With the old version of Pix2exe you would create an avi file, leave it open on the screen and then go into your DVD burning software and create the DVD. Is this still how you do it to have a DVD play on a DVD player? The reason I ask is because none of the DVD software that I have is working. The only one that remotely worked was one that would only play the audio and not show the pictures. I'm trying to create a DVD for someone for a funeral by tomorrow. Any advice you could give would be great. Thank you!!
  8. Bless you guys for being so patient with me. Photography is my thing and I'm not always as computer literate as I would like to be, other than photoshop. So by - "and copy and save as Pte key.txt" - am I typing this information into the "File name" section of notepad (because that is blank) or is this supposed to show up in "save types"? Is there an installing pte key for dummies anywhere that I can purchase?
  9. Thanks Dave. So when I do my copy/paste do I use both or just the one? I was trying to buy the professional version. I'm a photographer and use Pix2exe all of the time to proof to customers, but thought it might be cool to give my HS seniors an option to put the slideshow on their ipods which is the only reason that I bought the video builder. I'll still be able to do my picture slideshows on that one, right? And am I still downloading the trial of the standard pix2exe because I didn't see an option to download the trial for the video builder. I'm not quite sure why this is all so confusing.
  10. Regarding this quote in your link - If the e-mail contains text that looks like the above then that is your key. Use a text editor such as Notepad to create a new file. Then copy the text string from the e-mail and paste it into your new document (You need everything from ‘REGEDIT4’ up to and including the final double quote mark at the end of the long string of characters). Now save this file as ‘reg.reg’ and run it as if it were a program. This will create the necessary registry item to hold the key for your copy of PTE. That's what I got unfortunately rather than the actual attachment. What is shown at the bottom though looks to be keys to two different progragms. This is what it looks like - REGEDIT4 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\WnSoft\VideoBuilder] "Key"="0AjiDT0zuNN/-----" [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\PTE] "Key"="0WaZQVDLmAyGw0FbBkq----" I copied this entire thing and pasted it into notepad. In notepad I only had the option to save as a txt or all documents. I really appreciate your help. I've trid to get help via wnsoft, to no avail. I can't begin to tell you how frustrated I am at this point. I've never downloaded a program that was this much hassle to register.
  11. Thank you Peter. Off to check it out right now.
  12. I just purchased the $75 version of Pix2exe because I've been trying for a month to transfer the current version that I had from one computer to the next and just gave up. I've now received an email that says the key is attachead and it wasn't. There was just some coding at the bottom of the email and I tried to imput that into the "load key" in several different ways and nothing. All I can figure is that either 1) I have the wrong trial version downloaded (all I could find was the pix2exe 5.7 I think on the website, not a professional version) or 2) I don't actually have the key as it says to save the attachment to a folder and there is no attachment. I'm really frustrated. Any thoughts what I'm doing wrong? Thanks so much for your help. Tammy
  13. 1. I really need to know how many Megabytes of 'User Ram Memory' is installed on your PC ? Sorry, here it is .....256MB of ram - it says my system resources are 77% 2. When you 'Uninstalled the old PTE Program' did you delete its Folder ? - thats vital. Well, I wen't into programs and did the pix2exe uninstallation and then I wen't into add/remove programs and I didn't see it there anymore. How do I know if the *folder* is gone? 5. When installing PTE always give its Folder a proper name,eg:- PTE-410 or PTE-440 etc...6. ??? I just downloaded it and whatever it was on my desktop is what it was. I'm not sure what you're saying. [B]When Installing or Uninstalling Programs into Win 98...You must Re-Boot the PC from a 'Cold Start'...'Re-Start' yeah, did this *many* times. Thanks again.
  14. Q1.... Did you download anything from the Internet or EMails whilst making the Show ?Not that I remember. Q2.... When 'Re-Loading PTE'....did you delete the previous PTE Folder and all contents ?At first I didn't (I thought that it would just reinstall over itself). Then when it still wasn't working I wen't back in and did a total uninstall of Pix2exe and then wen't online, downloaded and reinstalled. Q3.... What size is your User Memory (not the HD) - its called Ram Memory ?I KNOW that this is a problem I am constantly getting "scratch disks are full" warnings when using other programs. Q4.... When on the Net are you loosing your 'Search Page' ?What do you mean by losing? Note:Q2. Its very important that this question is answered honestly, not assumed.OOOOooops are you saying this because the old one should always be uninstalled first. I didn't realize that I was doing anything wrong. If so, let me know so that I won't make that mistake again. Thanks so much for trying to help me with this. I'm really not very computer savvy.
  15. I saw that someone mentioned a program named ashampoo that will completely get rid of any program on your computer. Would this work? I need to go see how expensive this program is. Is that the problem, is that it's not completely uninstalling before I re-install it?
