  1. Hi Thanks! It worked. Thanks also to the other input I receievd Cheers Bill
  2. I recently changed computers. In doing so I managed to lose the pictures to exe software ( a fairly old version but I do not know which) but had backed up the projects and related images. I then purchased version 4.48 to replace it and now when I try and open a project that I would like to modify it tells me that the pictures and sound files cannot be found. The executable slide shows still work however. I emailed the company and got the following response "The program saved paths of images and audio files, which were used in projects. If the files were replaced the prograb won't be able to open them" Not being all that technical I am not able to understand the response. Basically what I need to know is whether I can easily recreate the project or whether I need to start from scratch. Any help would be appreciated Many thanks Bill Scott
  3. Ken I am not a particularly sophisticated user. I use Roxio to create Cd's and find that fairly intuitive. I did not see a trial version of the DVD software on the web site. How would you rate the DVD software from an ease of ue point of view? Thanks for aiding a baby boomer neophite!! Bill
  4. I downloaded the trial Movie Maker software and every time I try and use it my system grinds to a halt. Movie Maker becomes unresponsive and I have to shut down in order to do anything else. I called Ulead's tech support and went thru the suggested remedy. They referred to this software as " a memory hog". Either way I still have the problem. Anybody else having the same problem. Suggested cures? I use Pictures to Exe. to create slide shows and would like to get them on to DVD. Any recommended alternative software? Many thanks Bill Scott
  5. I downloaded the trial version of ulead Movie Factory. I get a couple of steps into it and the system seems to grind to a halt. I called ulead and they lead me thru a few steps to supposedly correct the issue but without success. They desribed Movie Factory as a "memory hog" but had no other suggestions. Anybody else had this problem? Any suggested alternative to ulead that will allow me to create DVD's from my pte files? Thanks
