  1. Hi cc, Thanks! Yeah my family really appreciated the slideshow. Our friends got a real kick seeing themselves too. The thing that took the longest was actually the music and prepping the pictures. Many of the old pictures were somewhat damaged or had some mold (some were slides). I spent many many many hours in photoshop retouching them and rebuilding some faces in some of the really bad ones. Some were not salvagable. The music was hard for me because I had never used cool edit so most of the time was spent trying to learn how to utilize the program and trying to adjust tempo to do some minor beat matching, transitions between songs, and volume adjustment. We also had to remove some people out of pictures (i.e. ex-girlfriend or wife or friend we lost contact with) or in some cases add some people to pictures. I found the most incredible book for photo retouching but I'm at work now so I don't have it on me. I'll post the name later in this thread when I get home. I'm not a photoshop expert, but with this book I had so much more confidence and actually consider myself pretty proficient in photo retouching now. I have to say pictures2exe was the best money/bang for the buck I spent for the wedding hehe Paul
  2. Hi all, Had a few questions about my slideshow in email. I figured i'd post answers here if anyone else was curious. 1) The morphs were done with a program called Morphman 2) Music was edited with Cool Edit 3) Photos were all done in photoshop. p.s. on a side note, I really liked that fields of fire fade effect used with the flowers ("Fields of Fire" slideshow on beechbrook). The nature of the pictures gave the impression of subtle movement so sometimes I couldn't tell whether the flowers were really moving or whether there was some fading effects being used to simulate movement. Very slick
  3. Hello, Just wanted to thank the community and author of this great program. I got married last year in July and used pictures2exe to create my slideshow. It was a huge sucess and the slideshow is one of the main things about the reception that people still congratulate me on (that and being a lucky guy to have a wonderful wife like I do!) I had just noticed the slideshow on my computer the other day and while viewing it I remembered how I had asked a few questions way back last year and had some very helpful responses from you guys in the community. I believe that old message board is gone but I still remember and thank you guys for it . I also wanted to thank beechbrook for helping me upload the slideshow to their website. It's caled "A Wedding Slideshow", just my way of hopefully thanking the community. It's rather large at 30 megs. I'd be happy to hear comments on it (good or bad). Thanks again for a great product! Paul
