  1. Is there any way in PTE that you can do a save or an undo within the Customize Synchronisation Box without closing the box. Yesterday I was doing some synchronisation and got my left and right mixed up and moved a load of transition points the wrong way and they went off the waveline and I was unable to retrieve them and have now had to start again. Today I have been dealing with about 6 transition points out at a time closing and then saving and just wondered if there was an easier way Tony Monmouth, South Wales
  2. Thanks Ken I'll contact Tom Tony Monmouth, S Wales
  3. Am I missing something, the links given by Ken lead to David Ho's website but I cannot find any AV show of his artwork there.
  4. Thanks Den easy when you know how Regards Tony Monmouth, S Wales
  5. When using play button in Customize Synchronization it always starts from the beginning, whereas Preview starts from the slide selected on the timeline. Is there any way in which the play button can also start from the slide on the timeline? I often find that I want to compare the music, the waveform and the effect at the same time and find it a bind to have to wait for the sequence to play through to the point in question. Regards Tony
  6. Thanks for comments on running speed, as yet I have not tried to synchronise sequence, as it is only a very small part, but it runs on both my desktop and my laptop. It works, admittedly at a slower speed, on an old desktop I have that runs Windows 98. It is all part of the fun of experimenting to see what you can and cannot achieve. You get an idea and have a go. At the end of the day you may have to write the whole thing off to experience but you will have learnt a lot and kept the old brain cells active. Tony
  7. Thanks for all the help, file size was the problem, I have now cut them down to 100k - 200k and am able to achieve the effect I want with very small effect times and show times. I now have a sequence of about 30 - 40 slides I can show in about 10 secs, achieving the effect I required.
  8. Hi Jeff Thanks for the reply it is always nice to find out that you are not the only one who has experienced a problem. It is a pity that you have to have half a second between slides, which is what I also have found is necessary. I had some thoughts on a sequence where there was no interval between slides. I wanted the next effect to start as soon as the first had finished, even better would be to have a second effect to start before the first has finished. I am obviously going to have to think of an alternative way to achieve what I want. Thanks again for the help Tony
  9. I still consider myself to be a novice as far as PTE is concerned but came across a problem in the last few days I wonder if other members have hit it. I wanted to start my sequence with four slides, they are all the same image but second has title on it and the third has a title and sub-title. I started with a fade in of just over 7 seconds on the first slide, a page effect left to right of about 5 seconds on the the next 2 and then a page effect right to left of about 8 secs for the fourth. Between each slide I only left about one tenth of a second. I then had about one tenth of second before the next slide and all others had an interval of about 2 seconds between finish of one effect and the start of the next. In the Customize Synchronisation box when I played this sequence, using the "Play" button, it worked perfectly it worked perfectly. However when I used the "Preview" button, the second slide came in on a left to right effect 3 times, the third and fourth never appeared and then all the other slides played as required. I found out that the only way to get the effect I wanted was to allow at least half a second between the end of one effect and the start of the next. Is this a restriction in PTE or am I missing something?
