  1. Thanks Dave & Jeff, I've tried your suggestions and they work just as I had hoped. Pat.
  2. How do I put a static png title which will fade out after a few seconds on a panning background?
  3. Igor, I've found that "Reverse Order" has been checked. I don't know how this can have happened as I've only just downloaded v6.5 - anyway I think this solves the problem. Many thanks for your help! Pat.
  4. Igor, As suggested I've selected a few images by mouse and added them to the slide list and they appear in reverse order i.e. this time they are not random. I then cleared the slide list and added all slides using Project > File List > Add all pictures to slide list. Again they appeared in reverse order. Previously I have had them appear in random order ...... strange!! Pat.
  5. Thanks Ken & BB Digital for your suggestion. I've checked the project files in which scrambling occured but the 'display slides in random order' box was not ticked - so I am still at a loss to explain the problem. Pat.
  6. I find that when I start a new project and add all pictures to slide list PtoE scrambles their order. This seems only to have happened since the advent of version 6.0 & 6.5. Do others have this problem?
  7. Thanks for your replies Ken - much appreciated. Thanks also to cjdnzl whose comments are noted with great interest. I'm not sure what to do from here on - perhaps disable AVG?! Pat.
  8. Ken, I've looked at the thread and AVG on my PC is reporting the same virus as Marian has problems with. I'm using AVG version 9.0.791, database version 271.1.1/2756 (19th March 2010). What is a 4.48 file? Is this the version of PtoE that created the file that you used for testing? The files that are giving me problems are from several versions of PtoE - some going back 3 or 4 years - including version 6 which is the only one I now have on my PC. Pat.
  9. Jim, I've just encountered the same problem using AVG. AVG has wiped out a lot of my PtoE executable files so perhaps Igor can contact AVG as well!! Luckily I've CD or DVD backups so I'm sure if I disable AVG first I should be able to restore them. Best wishe, Pat.
  10. See answer to DAVEGEE - problem solved (I think!) Thanks for the reply, Pat.
  11. I'm using a computer connected via VGA to the HDTV,and my pctures are edited to be 1920 x 1080. The computer however is set to 1280 x 768 i.e. 15:9 whereas 1920 x 1080 is 16:9 which I now realise is probably the problem. Thanks - my brain must have stopped! Apart from the black bars the slight distortion was scarcely visible. Thanks again, Pat.
  12. I have a problem when showing PtoE shows on my 1920px x 1080px HDTV. The screen always shows a black band at the top and bottom of the screen. I always set 'fullscreen'; an aspect ratio of slide to 16:9; and virtual size of slide to 1920 x 1080. Any ideas why I get the black bands? Many thanks, Pat.
