  1. I've used the windowing techniue earlier just for this purpose, but I really didn't like it. You don't have the same dynamic sizing of the slideshow as the standard non-windowed mode, and it doesn't look very professional when you start and stop these windowed showes by moving them it and out of the public visible sreen. I have to be honest to say that this was the main reason stopping using picturetoexe 1 - 2 years back. (also the lack of panning and zooming..... which now seems to be very well implemented) For a while I've used other products, for instance the very simple Microsoft product Photostory 2.0 to generate wmv-format video, but I've missed many of the more advanced features in PTE, so now I'll give it a new try. I probably will upgrade to the delux version and use that to generate DVD.....and then I can control it to be viewed on a seconday monitor. I do wonder though what's the hard thing about giving such a option, is..... It must be a very esay task to solve, compared to all the other very advanced functions that these clever programmers make in PTE.
  2. There's always a workaround for most problems, and that's what I think you all suggest. I would like a more standarized solution to this. I don't think it would be too complicated to make a parameter in the P2E project-setting, telling that the show should go to primary or secondary monitor. It should naturally oversee a choice of the secondary monitor if only the primary was defined in the XP settings. Several other programs I work with, has this feature, f.i. Powerpoint and EasyWorship When that's said........ . . I don't want to critisize the developers of P2E. They're doing a great job serving us with a fantastic program, and they obviousily get loads of good suggestions for things to do and the prioritation must be hard. regards from Kjell Roar
  3. More and more often I set up my laptop PC to use dual monitors when I shall us it to show Powerpoints etc via an videoprojector. I really miss the possibility to be able to get a fullscreen picturetoexe-file to use the secondary monitor instead of the standard primary monitor. I know I can make my projects in windowed mode and then get it work, but I don't like that at all, and I therefor end up with back and forth changing my desktopsettings to enable/disable the secondary monitor. 4. Hi. Thank you for a very useful program. I have upgraded to version 4 and this weekend I just made a slideproject with 70 slides and 4 MP3-files, but I found it very hard to achieve what I wanted (without spending hours of work) My target was the project to be syncronized with my music-selection, but in the middle section, I had 10 pictures which I wanted to have a fixed duration time of only 1 or 2 seconds. Then I should have liked PTE to calculate the slidetime by subtracting all the customized slides before deviding the rest of the time on the non-customized slides. I ended up spending hours in the "Customize syncronization" arena, first by making a very fast "Automatic syncronization" timeline,---> and then the work really started moving them all to where I really wanted the to be. That's why I should have liked the editing of the timeline behind "Customize syncronization" to be more flexible so it is possible to enhance one transition and push the change onto the rest of the transitions in the slideshow. The easiest fix to this could be an extra button called "Update all" (non of the prior transitions of course). An alternativ is the possibility to mark more than one transition and then be able to drag them as a group. Hope these moments will be considered to be valuable to future functionallity in PTE. Best regards Kjell Roar
