  1. Hi Alena, Thanks for the Product Key that you sent me via private email. I never got any of the other responses from WnSoft and I did check my Spam account. I am not sure what happened to those other messages. I just hope others are not experiencing the same issues as I have. As far as I know, I do not have any special settings set in Internet Explorer to block respones. Joe Smith
  2. Like others, I never got my Product Key for EXE 6.0. I purchased it on 4/24. I got the email with my Order number, etc. I waited a few days, then emailed Orders--no response. Then I emailed Technical Support, gave them all of the details, no response. Then I sent an email to Alena Tomilova yesterday, 4/27, on the Forum, as explained in another posting on this subject, requesting she send me the Product Key. So far no response. I am about to give up and purchase a competitor's product and tell my credit card company to cancel the WnSoft charge. To make matters worse, I have been using EXE version 4.48 since 2006. When I got my new Windows 7 pc,64 bit, Internet Explorer, I contacted WnSoft to get my old correct number so I could avoid purchasing the new product, but I never got an answer from Orders or Technical Support. So I decided to just buy the new product. Could someone please tell me what is going on? I have no problem getting needed info and codes from other software vendors. If WnSoft is able to send me an email that they got my money, whay cannot they send me an email with the Key to use the program? And I did buy the product at WnSoft's site. Joe Smith
  3. Lin and John, thanks for the great info. I followed John's instructions and got my comments to work. I believe it is the same approach as item three Lin suggested. I was able to move the image titles around on the slides as John suggested In Objects and Animation. I have downloaded the ver 5.0 PTE Users Guide and have started to go through it focusing on how to change fonts, colors, etc for titles on each slides and all of the other features I have never seen before. I is all a bit much to absorb right now. Joe Smith
  4. Hi Peter, I tried to do what you just posted, but ended up with the word Text in the image, and not the phrase that I typed in. The phrase got typed in to the Comments section of the Comments Tab in Project Options. That is what came up when I started typing in the box. What I had done previously was to type in the info in the Comment block above the image. This is where Objects and Animation box appears below the image. That seemed to work, but the info typed in never got saved. I have Pictures to EXE 6.0.4 unregistered version. I still have no Key.
  5. Hi everyone. I just upgraded to Version 6.0 on windows 7 from version 4.48. I am using the Trial version as I am waiting for my Key. I cannot figure out how to add unique comments to each slide like I did in version 4.48. When I go to the next slide and enter the comment I want for just that slide, it changes the comments already entered on the previous slides. I looked at the Help PDF file but did not find any help there. Any guidance for me? Joe Texan
  6. If I upgrade to v 5.0 will I be able to use all of my older 4.48 shows in 5.0? Joe texan
  7. I just heard about the new version 5.0 and 5.0 deluxe. As a casual user of 4.48 I think all I need to do is to get the upgrade to version 5.0. I saw a post from Lin Evans which said the upgrade is free if you do not want the Deluxe. I do not see any instructions or anything in FAQ that tells you how to download just 5.0 and not 5.0 Deluxe. Do I just click on 5.0 Deluxe and start the process? I would like to know what to do so I can pass on thw word to friends of mine who use 4.48. Joe Texan
  8. Hi everyone. Thanks for all of the comments. I went back to my desktop pc and set the resolution to 1024 x 768 and looked at each image in the pte file and made changes to the titles where needed. This is about all that I could do given my limited knowlwdge of the program. I suggest that all of you experienced users look at the tutorials provided a new customer by Wnsoft and then decide for yourself how useful they are for various issues. If you do not think they are clear or complete enough, why not help Wnsoft redo them? If Wnsoft is coming out with a new version, this is the perfect time for a new set of tutorials. When I was in business, I always had my newest employees revise the procedures manuals as they learned their jobs. After all , these are the ones that need them the most, not the bosses who already know the ropes. I will look at Al's tutorial at the web site he quoted. Regarding Pro Show Gold, many of my friends use it. I know that Revision 3 has just been announced. My friends tell me that it includes a tutorial. While the technical advantages of P2EXE over Pro Show Gold might exist, most non technical users will not care, other things being equal between the two programs. Joe Smith
  9. I do not know if it does have one or not. But if its product works w/o the need for one, that is a plus for that product. That being said, when I did use it, I ran into some problems that made me want to try P2EXE. I would have thought the issue I ran into with P2EXE would have been pointed out somewhere in a tutorial or general instruction. It seems to me like it is a pretty basic thing you need to know about if you are going to use titles in a slide show. Joe Smith
  10. Hi Al, I made the show in version 4.48, which is on my desktop and my laptop. I think the problem is that the titles were moved from above the image (desktop) to the inside of the image (laptop) because the image might have been at its maximum vertical size, 768 pixels. So does that mean that if I do not want to have titles inside the image, I have to deliberately make my images smaller (ie less than 768 pixels high)? I am still confused as to how to resolve the problem with my current slide show , and, more importantly, how to avoid it in the future when I create new shows. I do not know where else I could move the titles except to eliminate them. My guess is that I have to go back to the original images and resize them to reduce the vertical pixel size to allow for titles above the images so both the image and the titles fit the 768 pixels restriction. This is a royal you know what! I just might have to go back to Pro Show Gold. Joe Smith
  11. Yes I am a Newbie. Read on. I just tested my first slide show on my Dell Inspirion 700m laptop and discovered that many of my titles now show up in the image at the top instead on top of the image where I thought I had placed it. I built the slide show on my Dell desktop pc with a screen resolution of 1280 x 1024 and showed it on my laptop which normally has a resolution of 1280 x 800 but which was changed to 1024 x 768 to match the digital projector's resolution. Most of my horizontal images were saved as JPEGs at 1000 or 1024 pixels and the verticals were saved at 700 or 768 pixels. Does this affect where the titles show up? What caused the titles to change position? Do I have to change the resolution on my desktop to 1024 x 768 everytime I build a slideshow in P2EXE? Where do I go to read and understand what is going on here? Thanks Joe Smith
  12. That upload feature in beechbrook looks interesting. I think I will try it. I noticed I have to make a slide that is 120 pixels x 80 pixels. Is it the first slide in the presentation? Or just a separate image slide? Joe Smith
  13. I just compelted my first slide show. It consists of 44 JPEG images, no music, some titles. The exe file is 15.6 MB in size. The pte file is 17KB in size. Are these file sizes about right? How do you suggest I distribute the exe file? Email or put it on a CD-Rom and mail it? Joe Smith
  14. Thanks for the answers. I figured out how to use Object Editor to add titles above and at the top of most of the iamges and in the center of the first image in the presentation. The lesson on this could have been a little more helpful. I still do not know how to get titles near the top of an image. Center position seems to be the only thing that works. Joe Smith
