That may be your problem. The folder for 32bit applications to install to is C:\Program Files (x86)\ not windows(x86). This is the 32bit applications default folder. For 64bit applications the location is C:\Program Files\.

As I understand it this is the same for all 64bit versions of Windows 7.

May I suggest you remove your current installation of PTE and reinstall to this folder and I think all will be OK.

I have 5 versions of PTE each installed in different folders under C:\Program Files (x86)\ and all work fine.

    eg. C:\Program Files (x86)\PTE v4_49

    C:\Program Files (x86)\PTE v5.0

    C:\Program Files (x86)\PTE v5.6 and so on.

By the way the general convention on the forum is to allow the use of first names, it would be nice if I could address you by yours rather than CAnn.

I have PTE installed on a Win7 64bit system and I just ran the install program and let it take care of the location.

It installed as a 32bit application and I have been using PTE installed this way for several months now with no problems.

Some good images taken under extreme conditions that tell an interesting story. For many years I have been involved with hot-air ballooning and aviation but I am not sure if I could do that.

I liked the way you did the opening title, very creative.

    Thanks for posting.

PS Did you use a tripod??biggrin.gif

Just found this one and I think you are spot-on with your good explanation of exposure and have provided a very tempting introduction to your disks on the subject. For many years I have carried a 18% gray card in my camera bag and it can be quite helpful with exposure and very enlightening.

It is just not possible to get it right in the camera most of the time with the current digital camera technology, the dynamic range of the sensor is nowhere near that of the human eye. Maybe some-time in the future, probably a long time in the future.

You continue to come up with the good ones.

As a railway buff my only comment on the AV is "I want to see more".

Seriously I would really like you to enable the keyboard control on this one as I would like time to examine the great amount of information and detail in the images, there is so much especially for someone from outside your country so much is a little different from what we know and I would love to have some time to look at it all.

Music is a good choice and I agree a little saddening but OK for the subject and the speed of the AV is about right.

Some titles would set the theme and tell a little of the story if you don't wish to add commentary, but don't put them over the wonderfully images. It would be an improvement to have some info in the AV as others have said.

A big thanks for this one. smile.gif

    Thanks for the generous offer.

Your music clips are very professional and of a high quality, I am sure they will be useful. I think I will be using one for an AV I have been considering for some time. Thanks and keep up the good work.

.......... if you're into this style of music.

    Yes I am.

Congratulations on being the first to produce an AV using the new and exciting audio functions in PTE.

The audio sets the mood wonderfully in your AV and the third images you create work very well, (as always with your AVs).

I visited the gardens in the Dandenong ranges where the art work is some years ago and there is certainly a strong feeling in the place.

I can't use the Healing Brush in Camera Raw without Photoshop Freezing, but I guess others do.
I don't have this problem but I have heard of others that do/did.

    Can we move on please!!!

......but I did find I needed to do a bit of maths at the end to make it all come together.

I too am finding this a little cumbersome but when Igor has it represented visually on the time-line and adjustable there I am sure it will all be more practical. Looking forward to beta2 or 3 or 4.

    Very attractive project.

On my system I got the same result as Lin.

The T starts with just a dash of writing and then the pen continues to write with no ink put on the paper. When the i in this is written the T appears.

Hope you can solve the problem as this would be a very useful tool.

Ran very smooth with no jerks at all.

I have just finished a similar project using very old scans from prints that no longer exist. The scans were done on a "El Chepo" scanner by a non photographic friend some years ago and were 72dpi 640x480 jpegs.

Resized then using several software tools and found IrfanView gave the best "quality v effort" result. I did need to work on them with Focus Magic, (a great sharpening tool), and then do some cleanup with TopazDeJpeg, also a wonderful tool for cleaning up jpegs after I resized then to 1024x768.

    Good luck.
