  1. Thanks for all your answers. I'm glad to know that it can be done, albeit with a little trickery! But since I don't know how to import AVI or use External Command, is there a quick tutorial or help somewhere which could tell me how to do it? Thanks again!
  2. I know about "exporting" P2E to AVI file, but I really want to do the opposite: Importing AVI or SWF files into a P2E project. Is that feasible? I mainly take digital pictures, but once in a while -- my little digital camera can take 320x240 video files which are AVI files (and can be transfered to SWF) -- I would like to show some short video clip inside a slide presentation. So, is that a feature available with P2E at the present stage, or is it something planned in the future, or should I forget it totally Thanks for any answer on this! Peter
  3. Hi Lin and others! This is Xmas day! and I'll take a few seconds to wish the best to all of readers, even though I don't know youi personnally Lin, I have tried your "snow effect" trick, and .... it works! I don't know how to upload a EXE test I made, but it surely looks great on my computer! Much thanks to you, and please keep up the diggin'.... err, I mean the suggestions and your great slideshows --Peter
  4. Lots of thanks Lin for this "Text tutorial". At fisrt glance, it seems a bit complicated, but I am a Photoshop fan, so I will try to achieve something similar. BTW, you wouldn't have a tutorial on this effect, by any chance ? Thanks again... -- Peter PS: Here in Montreal, we usually have snow on the ground before Christmas, but this year is different. Call it "Global warming effect", or something else, but it ain't white this year... so using your trick, I will try to trick it
  5. Hello Lin, I saw your "Storm" slidewhow at your site (http://www.lin-evans.net/demo/index.html) and I was wondering how did you achieve the "Falling snow" effect? I did a search in this forum, but found nothing That effect looks really great Thanks for your help --Peter
  6. Great news! At least, I might expect a nice gift for Christmas Thanks again for taking the time to answer me... it's REALLY appreciated! --Peter
  7. Hello Igor, I sent you an E-Mail a few days ago regarding my findings. You said: "I'll write you in 1-2 days" I am still waiting for a reply from you... Are you still there? Thanks for helping me out! --Peter
  8. Hello Igor, I replied to your E-Mail, and tested your 2 files. I also wrote you 3 E-Mails, but I didn't receive any reply from you. Did you receive them? Thanks Peter
  9. Hi Al, Indeed, Igor sent me an E-Mail with 2 sound demo. I tried them and wrote him back the results, but he never replied! In the meantime, I discovered that I could play WAV files with B5 without apparent problems (I didn't have time to make a long presentation, just a very short one.) Also, I found out that, even though B5 mentionned we could use OGG files, I was not able to use that format. If you have a "direct" contact with Igor, could you ask hime to write me back, or at least to let me know he received the 3 E-Mails I sent him? Much thanks for your help! --Peter
  10. Hello Igor, In another post, AlRobin suggests that I might contact you about my sound problem. Here is my problem: I have watched many slideshows in different versions (4.48, B5 and B6), but I have a problem with the sound. I know Beta 5 is not yet done (wonder when it will!), but whenever I play "any" slideshows made with B5 or B6, the sound is not smooth. It misses here and there, or I here "crackling sounds", I can hear the music but it's not very pretty. I have checked some suggestions by Al, but I still have the problem. I have the latest DirectX software 9.0.C Last week, I bought the full version of 4.48, and I don't have any sound problem with that version. My system: WinXP Pro NVidia GeForce2 GTS Creative SB Live! 512Mb RAM DirectX 9.0C Thanks for any clue on how to resolve this dilemma, and help me with my future presentations! -Peter
  11. Thanks for your reply. I have the latest version of DirectX (9.0C). How can I contact Igor? --Peter
  12. Hello Al, Thanks for replying. In fact, that sound problem comes when I play B5-B6 files from people here (and elsewhere), and also from my own productions. But, the funny thing is that I don't have any sound problem with version 4.48. I usually use MP3 files, and my productions are in the "testing" mode at this time, meaning they are very short (less than 5 slides). Thanks for helping me! --Peter
  13. Hello again, Maybe I'm in the wrong section of the forum to ask my question about my "sound problem". Can anyone direct me to the right place? Or maybe, even better, answer my question? --Peter
  14. Hello, I have watched the slideshow (Autumn), but I have a problem with the sound. I know Beta 5 is not yet done (wonder when it will!), but whenever I play "any" slideshows made with B5 or B6, the sound is "chirping" or "crackling", I can hear the music but it's not very pretty Any of you had that kind of problems? Maybe there is something I should do with XP to make it work better, but I don't know what. Could it be a Direct X problem? I have version 4.48 and I don't have any sound problem with that version. My system: WinXP Pro NVidia GeForce2 GTS Creative SB Live! 512Mb RAM Thanks for any clue on how to resolve this dilemma -Peter
