  1. Yes, I just started over from scratch with adding my PTE slideshows and it worked fine. I can even open that saved project and no errors.
  2. I have tried repeatedly to recreate that error and I cannot get it to show again. I tried to open the project, turn on TV safe mode, save, close and reopen but it did not give me that error again. I wish I could recreate it again, but I cannot.
  3. The files were created with the version 5.5 from that link. I had just downloaded and installed the newest version when I started work on this project.
  4. I have prepared several PTE files and had opened VideoBuilder to start a DVD. I have Videobuilder 5.5. I had added my PTE files, clicked Next, changed some fonts and the background picture, and added music. I think clicked on Project Options to turn off the Add Chapters option and change the Audio to LPCM. After closing that window, I turned on the TV safe area under Edit. I then saved my project and closed the program. When I reopened the VideoBuilder and then my project, I got this error. Behind the error box, several of my changes are missing, such as the title.
  5. Yes, Lin that is the way I did it. I just didn't explain it correctly. Thanks for the examples too. That helped alot. Now when I go back to the user's guide, it all makes more sense.
  6. I am getting it!! I just added a second image to the main image and had it increase in opacity across the timeline until it was visible. It just took a little different explanation to make it click in my brain. Thanks!
  7. Should the main image be highlighted with the green frame when I add the new objects, or should I make sure that is off. Do the new objects need to be children to that parent main image? Should I resize and position first and then set the Keyframe? Once I click on the keyframe along the timeline, it is not giving me the option to resize or move the image. Thank you for your help!
  8. I have looked at the various user guides and I just cannot find the answer. I have seen a show in which there was one stationary image and other images moved onto the top of that one large image. I am looking at the Objects and Animations directions but it is not making sense. Is there a tutorial that explains how to create this one type of slide? Thanks!
  9. I downloaded the newest version and made another DVD. The same thing happened.
  10. Thanks. I will try the new version and see how that works. I did have the Video Type on Auto. There were just 3 video clips, less than an hour. The TV setting was also on NTSC.
  11. I used a camcorder on vacation and now I am transferring those tapes to DVD. I am using Windows Movie Maker to transfer the files from the camcorder to my computer. The avi files look great on the computer. I then created the DVD using the Video Builder v5.1 beta 2. It created with no problems. When I am watching the DVD on the TV, I see some weird squiggly lines. Here is the strange part... the squiggly parts are ONLY there when the movie pans quickly. When the footage is stationary on a person for example, everything looks great. If I panned over to the side, the edges of the objects appear squiggly until the action stops moving. If it is just minor movement like people talking, it is ok. It only happens when they were moments of a lot a movement. Any ideas what caused this or how to prevent it? I know it isn't on the actual tape in the camcorder and it wasn't there when transferred to the computer. It is only on the DVD, but not all the time.
  12. That is the size of my images straight out of camera. I have not done a show like this before so I didn't know to resize the images first. Thank you for the help.
  13. Yes, it does exit on ESC. I will resize the images and try again. Thank you!
  14. I did try searching, but couldn't find anything helpful. The images are each 3-5MB. The EXE file is 182 MB. I don't know about the client's computers, but here are the specs for my laptop which is also freezing on some slides. XP home edition, 1.73 Ghz processor, 1 GB RAM.
  15. I have opened the EXE file I created and it is locking up on my computer now. One time it will stop at one slide and hold for maybe 20 seconds before continuing on. Then the next time I play it, it stops at another slide and will not advance even though the music is playing.
