  1. Granot, I'll take you up on your gracious offer. Thanks! lb@lbphoto.com LB
  2. Stupid me!! The file>new option was right under my nose. Sometimes the trees hide the forest........ LB
  3. Thanks for all the replies and suggestions. I actually figured out a way to do it since posting the question. I basically did what Jim suggested and made sub exe's and then created hyperlinks to those files on a generic "menu" screen I made in Photoshop. It worked. One problem I ran across was when making the three shows I had to close PTE and re-open the program each time before I could make the next project/show/exe file. That was a PITA! I tried clearing all the files out of the project and then putting them back in then change all my preferences for the next show (no music etc.). When I would try to "create" the next show it would assume I was working on the same show and write over the previous file. Is there an option to just "create new project" without having to exit the program first? Something like "file>new project" or something? Maybe it's there and I just don't see it. Larry
  4. I haven't been using this program for very long and have much to learn. I did a search on this question but didn't come up with much. I apologize if this topic has already been discussed to death and I just didn't find it. I'd like to put two shows on one CD and have a menu page where the client can choose which show they want to see. I'd like to have one show that would be sync'd to music and run uninterrupted. The other show would be the same images but NOT sync'd to music so the client can stop the show and view the images individually/manually if they so choose. Is this possible? How? Thanks! Larry
  5. Ken, Yes, it was a photographer's show I downloaded from the BeeckBrooke site. Truelight, Pardon me for asking! I went back and re-read my original question and NOWHERE did I ask for the author of PTE to spend any time creating ANYTHING. Without knowing what type of presentation I am working on, how can you possibly know what would be appropriate? I'm happy that you are satisfied with using one transition for everything. Personally, I find that incredibly boring. Uninformed responses like yours are the primary reason I seldom post on internet forums. I apologize for my momentary lapse of restraint here. LB
  6. Perhaps my terminology isn't correct. What I'm referring to is how one image transforms into the next. For instance, one of the default effects is called "page effect (horizontal/vertical)" and has 4 selections. Left to right, right to left, top to bottom, and bottom to top. I saw a show where the transition/tranformation effect was one image dissolved into what looked like white pixie dust and flew off the screen and the next image started out as white pixie dust and flew into the screen and "reverse dissolved" until the full image appeared. Another similar idea might be....the "exiting" image being crumpled up like a piece of paper and the "entering" image being uncrumpled. Are you saying that these effects can be accomplished using Photoshop? If so, I've got a lot of homework to do! LB
  7. I've seen some really interesting transition effects on a couple of the demo shows I downloaded that don't appear to be a part of the default offerings of PTE. I was wondering how these effects are accomplished? Is there a utility offered that will create different effects? Or perhaps a site where different effects can be downloaded? And if so, how do you incorporate them into the PTE program? Thanks! LB
  8. Thanks Ken. Point taken. However, I've had my share of floppy disk failure so I've saved everything to a CD instead. LB
  9. Update. I received my registration code this morning. Thanks! Now off to play..... LB
  10. I purchased the PTE software this morning (about 12 hours ago) after playing with the demo for a while. I can see a lot of potential uses!! However, I don't understand why it takes 2 days to get a registration key to unlock the software. Can someone explain? It certainly didn't take that long for the check to clear. On a positive note, I did receive a timely response to a question I sent to support regarding which license I needed for my particular situation. I really hate for my first post on this forum to be a whine, but I'm anxious to start using this software. Actually, I could have used it twice today. Waiting patiently.......... LB
