    pte files

Thanks everyone for your help! I opened and edited the pte file in Notepad. It seemed easy enough to change the source path. As far as the pictures that I had renamed and some I couldn't find: I ran the original exe file and luckily I had used the Print option that lets you "Save Picture". I saved the pictures that were not found and then changed them in the pte file and then created another exe. There were only a few that I had renamed so this was no big deal. Thanks again! Problem solved.
  2. I have pte files of shows that I made on a different computer. The photos were stored in My Documents, My Pictures. I transferred the pte files to my new XP machine. Now when I open the pte files the pictures are not found because the path is different. XP doesn't use the same path to My Documents. C:/MyDocuments. It is now C:/DocumentsandSettings....etc. Is there any way to open the pte files for editing? I messed up on the old computer too. I still have the pte files on the old computer, but have renamed some of them. So of course, I get the file not found error when I open the pte files. Any suggestions or am I out of luck for editing? Thanks.
  3. Thanks boxig. But wouldn't I still need all the shows contained in the menu sent with the file or included in the file. I send my PC shows by email-too large.
  4. Well, I guess I answered my own question. I sent the file to my husband's computer, and of course the shows didn't play when he clicked on the menu buttons. How disappointing. I guess that was too good to be true. It worked on my computer of course because I had the files.
  5. Hi, I'm new to making shows with menus. I just created one. Basically one slide with several buttons. Each button is set to open a separate slideshow. There are about 10 buttons (slideshows). The final exe containing all the shows is only 250 kbs. Is that right. If I sent this to someone, do I have to send the separate slideshow for each file? Or are they already "in" the final exe. I find it a little confusing that each slideshow is over 1MB but the final exe containing all the shows is only 250 kbs. If I burn this to CD do I need to include each separate show? Sorry I'm kind of "dense" about this. Thanks.
  6. No one seems to interested in more transitions but I am. I would really like "page curl" and "spin" . Xatshow has these, but that program does not compare to P2E when it comes to PC shows (good for DVD). I know much as been said that fade in/out is the only transition needed, but that is not my opinion.
  7. My registration file is pte.key
