    Error

Looks like I do have the latest version that's available for Win98, that being WMP 7.1. I tried to install WMP 9, but it said that version won't install to Win98. It needs Win98SE as the minimum.

    Error

I know I don't have that. I'll download a version and see what happens.

    Error

I'm running Win98. I am able to create the exe file, just not the avi file.

    Error

The file name does not exist. I've tried a couple of different names to no avail.

    Error

I am using 4.20 (I'm assuming Final). I tried opening the project, saving it under a new name, and then trying to create a VCD with a new name. Same error.

    Error

I have a project I created two years ago that is an exe file. I'm trying to use the same project and create a VCD. I'm able to open the project with no trouble. I just can't get it to create the AVI file. It doesn't matter if I try to do a custom AVI or a VCD. I can get as far as being prompted for the file name. When I click Save, I get the error I mentioned in my first post. "catCantCreateFile". That's all it says.
  7. I just downloaded the 4.20 version so that I could try to create an avi file. I've opened my project and then I click on the video button, then select one of the format options, then select the file name and where to save the avi file, and then click Save; that's when the error occurs. It doesn't matter which option I select, Custom AVI, VCD, SVCD, or DVD, when I click on Create AVI and then give it a file name and place to save, I get an error that says "catCantCreateFile". The same error occurs if I click on Preview. Am I missing something? I'm running Win98.
  8. Thanks for the information. I downloaded Audacity, since it's a freebie. I first did the Mac version, just so I could play with something on my new iMac. I was able to get the gap removed from between the two songs, but it created a 79.5MB wav file! I used iTunes on the Mac to covert it to an mp3, but it was still 9MB, and I couldn't figure how to move a file that large to my Windows box. Then I downloaded the Windows version, along with LAME to convert the wav to an mp3. Everything works great. Thanks again!
  9. I've got a slide show I've put together with PTE 3.75 that contains two songs. I have it set to automatically sync the music to the slides. Between songs, there's about a 10 second gap with no music. Is there some way to change that? I'd like there to be no more than a second or two between songs.
