  1. Barb, Did you ever figure out how to fix the choppy music? Mine is doing the same thing.
  2. I'm bought the newest version of PTE (Deluxe 5.1) today and used the Burn DVD-Video disc feature in the File menu to create a DVD of about 120 pictures with four song soundtracks totalling a little more than 10 minutes of video. The soundtrack skips really bad... what can I do to fix it? I really need help and quick... anyone? Laura
  3. Hey Ken, Thanks for the reply. I don't have another program and have not made DVD's to play on a regular DVD player before. I think I'm going to go and buy the complete new version of the software.... I hope that works. Maybe I can get reimbursed for the $20 that I paid for the upgrade. I really love pics2exe, but I wish there was a help number I could call and acutally talk to someone. Posting on the forum and getting replies that haven't worked for two days is so frustrating!!!
  4. Colin, Thanks for your help. I tried the two suggestions that you had and neiter brought up the new copy of pics2exe. I'm really frustrated.... is there a help number I can call to talk to someone? I need to get this to work in the next few minutes or I need to buy another program to make this work. I have a project I need to mail out to a customer tomorrow. I planned to work on it all today if necessary, but so far I haven't been able to get the software to upgrade. I have already spent money on the upgrade and I already know pics2exe, so I really want to make it work with this software. Thanks! Laura
  5. Hey Lin, I tried what you suggested above and it didn't prompt for the reg key. Any other ideas? I pm'd you. Hope I can get it worked out soon. Thanks! Laura
  6. Thanks Lin. I don't know why I didn't think of that before. I purchased the upgrade, but am having a hard time loading the "key" in the registration process. I just sent you a pm. Thanks again!
  7. I would like to upgrade as opposed to buying the complete new program... I think it will be less expensive that way. Can anyone help? Thanks!
  8. Lin, Wow! I hope this works. Sounds easy enough. I will work on in this afternoon and post back here. I am downloading the user guide now. Thanks for your help (and jfa's help too). Laura
  9. I did go to the help menu and followed the instructions (listed below), but my AVI file didn't show up in my list of folders. I'm a little unclear in the instructions that say "Important note: Please don't click "Finish" button until you didn't fully burn the DVD-Video disc."... What am I supposed to do with the screen? It won't go away unless I click Finish or just close the window. I tried it both ways and neither one made an AVI file in my folder. Here are the instructions I referred to:How to create DVD-Video disc Using PicturesToExe you are able to produce AVI video file which can be easily burned as DVD-Video disc with help of any special software (read below). Even it is possible to create SVCD disc on usual CD-R disc with high quality of image and sound (almost as DVD-Video). PicturesToExe provides fast and lossless transferring of video and audio for converting into DVD-Video format. This allows to keep excellent quality of your presentations and very smooth transition effects. Advice: please create usual EXE files for playing of presentations on PC, and DVD-Video disc if you want to play your presentations on DVD players connected to TV. 1) Preparing of AVI file file in PicturesToExe: Start PicturesToExe; open your project; and then call AVI video output dialog ("AVI button in the main window of PicturesToExe"). Choose "NTSC" TV system, if you live in United States, Canada, Japan, Taiwan or South Korea. Choose "PAL/SECAM" TV system you live in Europe, Australia, Africa, or in any other country. Select "DVD-Video disc", if you have DVD-Writer or "SVCD disc" if you have usual CD-R/RW drive. "Interlaced for TV" option is highly recommended to get excellent quality and smoothness of transitions on TV. You can click "Preview" button to immediately see the resulting presentation playing as video file. In this mode, please ignore that transitions may be shown not so smooth. But on burned DVD-Video disc all transition effects will play excellent as in usual EXE file. Also we recommend to make sure that text fonts are enough large to be readable on the screen of TV. Now click the "Create AVI file" button and PicturesToExe will produce video file within 10-30 seconds. Important note: Please don't click "Finish" button until you didn't fully burn the DVD-Video disc. 2) Converting and burning AVI video file into DVD-Video disc: PicturesToExe can not burn DVD-Video, so you need to make use of any special software which can convert produced AVI video file into DVD-Video format and burn the disc. We recommend you to use Ulead DVD MovieFactory2 http://www.ulead.com/store/dmf/runme.htm which can do it. Also you will able to make simple DVD menu. (In this program, please don't forget to choose NTSC or PAL/SECAM in the Preferences window. To call this window, press F6 key). Please click the "Finish" button in PicturesToExe when the disc will be fully written. (Temporary AVI video file will be automatically deleted, because it is intended only for converting into DVD-Video format.) Enjoy with your recorded DVD-Video or SVCD discs! Thanks in advance! Laura
  10. I have a client that wants a DVD of thier session. I thought I could make it in pics2exe, but it looks like the only thing pics2exe does is make an executible file from your computer, not a slideshow that will show in a regular DVD player. Below is a link to the clients' session (click on the Mann Family). I am actually combining the "Mann Family" session and the "Maggie" sessions. "Maggie" was an outtake of the full session. Here is the link... Daniels Photography - Client Site I would really appreciate it if anyone has any advice... can I make a slideshow that is viewable with a regular DVD player with pics2exe? If so, how? I purchased pics2exe over the internet and didn't get any documentation. Is there a site I can go to for help (other than the forum)? Thanks in advance! Laura
