Once again, the multimedia presentation takes pride of place at the 2nd Rencontres de l'image de montagne festival to be held on 13 and 14 June 2008 in Bourg d'Oisans (Isère, France). Around 450 people attended the four showings in June 2007 and encouraged us to repeat the experience. Two dozen French and foreign film-makers (Italian, British, Australian) met in Oisans, on the fringes of the Ecrins National Park, to exhibit their multimedia presentations. The event took us on a tour of mountain vistas, from Ladakh in India to Spitsbergen in Greenland, passing through the Antarctic, Iceland, the Névache valley, the Mercantour and the Ecrins. The selected format – multimedia presentations – fits in with the image policy that has been in place in the Park for a number of years. It matters not whether you opt for traditional photography or digital, whether you use 2 projectors or 24, and professional status is not important: the only stipulation is that your work must deal with a subject related to the mountains (fauna, flora, habitat, sport, conservation, comedy, etc). Registration is free and the works chosen will be put together to form a cultural package by the Ecrins National Park. Please note: A translation or sub-titles in French are required for all work with a soundtrack that is mainly in a foreign language. See you there!
