  1. I may be dumb but I've just looked all over the site and can't find v5.6 - can anyone give me a hint! geo
  2. Thanks Peter. I'd already thought that through and the sad fact is that it looks like image reduction has to wait until the AV design is completed otherwise I won't know which images to reduce to, say, 1024x768 and which require more pixels because of zooming. C'est la vie. Geo
  3. Thanks for the detailed response Lin. So far I've been pulling images straight out of my main image folder(s), looks like I'll have to create a special set of reduced size 'originals' in future for P2E use. Agree about compression, not worth sacrificing quality for a small reduction in file size. cheers Geo
  4. Is it possible to reduce the exe file size by reducing original image sizes ? I tried reducing the final display screen size and it didn't seem to affect the exe size much so I guess the exe stores original images (?) Any info on this area would be appreciated. Geo
  5. Thanks Peter and Lin, I hadn't twigged that trick - even though I had waded through the user guide. Geo -----
  6. I notice that if I choose an unusual font for AV text than if that font is not present on a different PC then the AV defaults to Arial. So I assume that the text is not digitised within the .EXE file but made up 'on the fly' on playback. If this is the case then I seem to be limited to the usual standard fonts such are Arial, Times New Roman etc. Can someone please confirm this is the case? thanks Geo
  7. Thanks Peter! I had been trying to add the commentary via the 'Customise Slide' button, your technique works a treat. Hopefully Igor will get round to adding sound level controls at some point. Anyway, Audacity no problem. Geo
  8. I think I know the answer to this one (like ... no) but I'll ask it anyway in case I'm missing somethig. Is It possible to have a background music file in the Project Options plus slide related comentaries in the Customise Slide settings AND not have the comentaries stopping the background music? thanks
  9. Spot on! That cured it! Many thanks. Geo
  10. I'm sure this has come up before but can't find it, so... I've added a short audio to a slide and it repeats for the duration of the slide. Is there a way of stopping his (other than padding out the audio with a silent bit at the end)? thanks
