  1. Hello Everybody, O.k., here's something that I banged my head against the wall for last month: It was a day-long series of events, a company annual picnic. Events ranged from softball to volleyball to BBQ, horseshoes, pie contests, etc. The events were shot by four different people, with four different digital cameras. The final product for this was a Photoshop-generated web gallery for the company intranet. But, if I were to do a PTE show, I'd still be faced with some of the same workflow challenges. The tough part was to organize a lot of files with different naming schemes. I ended up doing a brute-force sort with lots of intermediate folders. Is there a program out there that will read the EXIF time stamp and do a sort by that? (Assuming all the cameras are set to the same time, it would group multiple camera angles of the same event together.) If I could have done a time stamp sort, then batch rename, the whole project would have gone much faster. Or, is there a better way to handle the situation? Thanks for any input on this. cheers, Lee Schwabe San Antonio, Texas
  2. Hello Alan, If you've got lots to scan, you might want to look into sending them out to someplace that uses digital ICE and ROC to clean up old slides. Don't know about your side of the pond, but in the states I've heard good things about these people: http://www.slidescanning.com/ Actual cleaning of slides always scared me....stay away from open flames, be very careful, and hope you don't wipe away image along with fingerprints. Best of luck to you, Lee Schwabe San Antonio, TX
  3. Hello Al, Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I went into customize synchronization and looked at the transition points. All of them were at around 4 seconds between slides, except the second one, which had about abou two seconds worth of spacing. So, I moved the transition points a bit, and it plays nicely now. Thanks again, Lee
  4. Hello, Maybe you good folks can help me figure this out. In a show that I'm trying to make, the second transition doesn't complete. It starts, gets partway, then jumps back to beginning point then proceeds normally from there. It's always hiccups on the second transition, regardless of which file (all images sized to fit in 1024x768 box) and regardless of which transition. It does it in preview, and it does it in the exe file. The remainder of the transitions seem to work just fine. The slide show is set to synchronize to music length, fade is not selected. The machine is a PIII 933 with 256mb ram. PTE v4.01 Any thoughts or ideas? Thanks, Lee Schwabe San Antonio, TX
