I had to choose upgrade using the Version 1 - 6.5 for things to work,even though I was running on Version 7.5.
I first tried the Version 7.0 - 7.5 option,but that did not work.

I assumed that as I had been using Version 7.5.10, that upgrade would be made via the 'Version 7.0 - 7.5 Option'.
Originally I started off with something like version 5.6 and upgraded along the way.
My key was the long version associated with the early versions.
As such it only worked with the Version 1-6.5 upgrade option.

Igor you really should sort out this licence key business, I have not had too much difficulty in the past but it has never been a strait forward thing. I've been using all versions up 7.5, now I have tried to upgrade to 8 and I'm told that my licence key is incorrect or damaged. I've read all the posts on the Forum and see loads of people (Including advanced members are having trouble. It is very frustrating that I cannot make it work

Just 1 thing I would suggest.In addition to the supplied system HD,install another fast dedicated physical HD (not on a partition)and use it exclusively for your video work.

On reading the previous threads,I think the initial question had been answered from the start by Igor,
who had to later,repeat his reply.
Whether BBs motive may have been divisive,I can't say. It would not be the first time this has happened.
Subjected to a narrow minded,one man soapbox rant,I can't blame members getting annoyed, especially after
realizing they were being played.

Good that it worked for you. If you are distributing dvd copies,to maximize compatibility with different players
stick with Dvd-r discs and avoid the value bargain bin bundles. Taiyo Yuden and Verbatim (azo dye variety) are generally good.
If your burner is getting on a bit,you might be able to update its firmware.
No need to burn at really slow speeds unless your burner/discs are restricted.
If you can only get Dvd+r discs,Img Burn will allow you to convert them to Dvd-r discs.

The Gurus must be out to lunch.
Re software Nero = Bloatware and you have noted some of it's nasty habits.
Roxio = Jokeware Don't even go there
Cyberlink = Christmas Crackerware
IMG Burn = Best burning software on the planet. Freeware (just don't install the toolbar)
CDBurnerXP = Very good Freeware. (just don't install the toolbar)
Beware of those 'sponsored' online reviews.

Interesting exercise.
Tried this with Photoshop.It looked ok,but like your corrected version,People had been squashed.
Had a go at swinging the image out to balance it more,maintain people proportions.
More tricky than I thought.
PC or even more versatile tilt shift for Nikon can be had between £300-£500 s/hand from auction sites.
Results a usually a lot better than squeezing pixels in whatever program.

With the expectation slider turned down, I hit the play button.
Wow, this show had everything. What an inspired music selection Eric.
I was expecting, ‘Last of the Summer Wine’. Instead, it was from The Lord of the rings sound track.
This transported me to a magical kingdom, with flying sheep and the fabled blue snow of the Dales,
all wrapped up in a subtle hazy winter blur.
It didn’t end there though. As a further treat some poetry from the author.
Rhyming, ‘Prayer’, with ‘Him up there’, was pure genius.
A pity you are moving on to lamp making.
It’s not every day we get treated to shows of this caliber.

Days of the Clippers from HongKong are long gone.
Your lens tool will usually take around 7 days to arrive.
Before you can get to use this tool you might also need a suitably sized rubber puck
to remove the lens cover piece.(try a well known auction site for these).
Also on the same site and taking similar time to arrive from the US is Helicoid grease.
Just look for 'Helimax-HP'.
For cleaning lenses try Amazon for 'Eclipse' cleaning fluid and use this in combination with
'Pec Pads'.
I recommend looking on a lens forum for some help and guides for people with experience of your lenses.
Some of these have to be disassembled - reassembled in a particular way.
If you can get a cheap old used lens from a boot sale,Charity shop or auction site, have a practice on that first.
You can wreck a lens in about a second,so proceed with caution.

It has been my experience that making comments of this type is an invidious task.
Your timing issues have been repeated on numerous occasions.
In sync, out of sync, or random timing can be for effect, deliberate, or deemed as unimportant by the author.
Timing of course, can be crucial, but is only one factor in the make up of an AV.
Not everyone makes an AV for critical inspection, but even at that,interpretation is down to the individual.
The other moderators will at least balance a negative point with a positive one.
Adopting this approach might gain you more credibility, at least with those starting out with PTE.
Being thick skinned is not always a positive attribute. You run the risk of being labeled callous.

How can you forget the appropriately named,'Hazy Days' from Xaver. Some liked it and some thought it less than great.
August 2010.It has long since been removed from here,but I still keep it on Mediafire,just in case.
Davegee produced 2 shows that I remember. 1 which featured lots of zooming in and out of trees and another which featured lots of awkward candid people shots.
No idea if they are still here.Recycle bin material for me though,sorry.

Rather than give the old machine a Tangi funeral, it does have a Liteon burner.
A useful utility and only for liteon burners is 'KProbe'. A neat util that will let you find the best dvd media for your setup.

Slow burn time might be down to machine being setup in pio mode and should be set to dma mode.
Max burn speed will be restricted by the use of 40 as opposed to 80 pin ide lead to the drive.
It sounds like you can burn other things fine,so it's probably down to your old world PC.

I'm guessing it's your sound fx. VBR will work fine as long as all components are encoded the same.
Try saving and tinkering with all files as wav.Convert when done to MP3 when you are happy with the mix.
Don't drop the bitrate too low as most do.Only adds a few mb of space and you will avoid the dreaded MP3 scowl.

My linkThis is ,I hope a new take on a popular subject. 'Bert' runs for 6.30 minutes and is 46.9mb in size. The pictures were mainly taken at reenactments with only 2
historic images plus some old family pictures and postcards. The soundtrack was created on Audacity with me doing the voice over to my own words.

A super show on a popular subject (unless your national anthem has Uber Alles in it).
I have to be honest and say I'm not over keen on re-enactments as pristine uniforms and equipment is just so fake.
What lifts this above the ordinary is your delivery,story and clever assembly of all the parts including the re-enactment shots.
Quality shows are rationed here,so hope all the positive feedback will encourage you to do more.

It may not be that you are doing something wrong.
Could be down to part/all of your soundtrack. I'm guessing you have downloaded audio as opposed to ripping,from say a CD.
A constant bit rate download should be that and pose no problems,but I have heard of it not always being the case.Could be something screwed up in the streaming download/encoding.Maybe its a variable bit rate stream that makes the mp3 player/software throw a wobbler.
Can you try an alternative source,like a CD?
