I am going to push a small blow of mouth ! I tested all these software and viewed slide shows on my reader DVD. Nobody is satisfactory: absence of transitions, long and bad encoding... The subject of PTE is perfectly clear: slide show on PC !!! Why to look for the other thing for this not still completed software ?

At the moment, as regards the other small described problems, I persist in saying that it is very often about configuration of computer (and true colors or not....) Example, with a friend: Another test on a notebook, Duron 850, 256 mb, Windows ME, standard videocard: perfect... no problem of fade, of music..... I wait possibly for the answer of Igor to the quoted problems.

One big thank you to Guido, who made this exercise and passed on to me a slightly adjusted version (music, effect and end). It's always interesting to discover ideas to finalize the slide show. I readed many things for "To Marie". As one always should not speak, but so that each acts, I propose to you downloading the project and the pictures and the music. I deleted some photos and adjusted better the fade effect (4000ms to 3000ms) with a silence = 1 s, at the beginning and at the end. Now, one can benefit from each photograph a little longer. Just a precision: "On slower machines the transitions are obviously a little flickering" But, I wish know as well as possible the basic configuration to view perfectly a slide show, with very good smooth transitions. (for me, P2 450 with 256 ram is a minimum) With your opinion ? (It is necessary to specify that for my website or even for wnsoft... )

I think that there is a problem as well when many photos are distributed at short time: if I increase the duration of the effect (To Marie): 4000ms to 6000 ms the program becomes crazy !

Thanks Rudi. I hear and I'm working to make that better. I think also that it is necessary to see again the minimal configuration of the computer to view correctly all the effects and the musics. That given by Wnsoft is too low. To your opinion ?

A probleme difficult to resolve: the music lasts 4 '54" for the 54 images. How to increase the time of transition, without removing of images, unless making a sound assembly special with this piece ? Ron ? Guido ? Boxig ? Please, your suggestion !

According to what I could test and see, it seems that the problems of this kind appear when the RAM is insufficient compared to the system; 256 mb is better with ME and 512 with XP Ron, I know your current system: very good but I think: 128 mb is smaller The slide show is loaded in memory. Boxig: can you test that ? Thanks

Thanks Guido for your test. I believe that it would be good that in case of problem, each clarifies his configuration of computer, especially: processor, video card, memory, OS and program loaded in memory.

I am sure on a thing: the more the processor is fast, the more the effects are smooth. I think as well as the video card has its importance. Tested on a celeron 900, I see also has slight flicker between the exchanges. Thanks to Ronwill for his good idea

I received this (about "To Marie")where from my question : "in any purposes useful I inform you however, that the end of the slide show, on my PC at least, contrary to your precedents, arises a bit before fine natural of the music, and that this one results from it abruptly cut" On my PC it runs OK ! (one MP3,customize synchronization, close show after last slide)

For the slide show "To Marie", I used PTE 3.80 and Windows XP home edition. The software works fine also for me.
