  1. Hello Again I am trying to add music to my slideshow. I have added 6 short pieces which total approx 30mins. My slideshow however does not have a definite duration because I am controlling it manually via the mouse. It usually takes about an hour which is obviously longer than my music. I have ticked the option to repeat the music after playing in Proj Options but then when I right click on a slide and choose 'start preview from current slide' the music always starts from the beginning what ever slide I choose. Is there any way (other than just watching the whole show) to test whether the music will start over again? and I presume it will continue to run on at the end? Thanks again Steph
  2. Thanks so much ! thats really useful to know Steph
  3. Thanks that is a big help!! If you could just clarify though: Do I have to size the images to be 1080 high before I bring them into the show? or can I set up PTE to do this automatically - I have been told it will resize automatically but I dont know how it knows which size I want!! (unless it is what I put in on the screen options?) Thanks again - I have printed your reply for future ref! Steph
  4. Hello I have read the forums and found topics which partially answer my problem and I understand how to set the sizing of the show in the project options screen menu to fit the screen I am to show it on. However, I want my show to fill the screens when shown via my digital projector which is 1024x768 (4:3) and also when I show it via my laptop wire onto my widescreen (16:9) TV. My question is therefore: Do I have to size my images to the correct aspect ratio before I bring them into PTE? which will mean doing the whole show twice or by setting the aspect ratio in the screen menu, does PTE automatically resize the images without stretching them?? Thanks Steph
  5. Thanks for that info - Do you know if I can upgrade the standard PTE and not the Video Builder in this case? Thanks Steph
  6. Hello - I have just missed the deadline for upgrading my Deluxe version of PTE to 6.5 which was 17 September - is there any way I can do this without having to pay again? I dont use it that often and have only just learned there is a more recent version Thanks Steph
  7. Please can you tell me the relationship between the filesize of an image when displayed in image size in Photoshop and the filesize which shows in Explorer? as these are never the same - sorry it is not directly related to PTE but you chaps seem knowledgable on all aspects of digital imaging!! Thanks Steph
  8. thanks - i will give these a try!
  9. Hello I am a friend of Stephs and would like to ask this question please. I want to create a very simple slidesho to show off my wedding images in an auto fade in fade out 'loop' style show within a web page. I have been told to use monoslideshow 2 - a link to this is here: http://monoslideshow.com/demo - Could you tell me if this is possible to create in Pics to Exe? and if so - how and how to I then embed it into a web page without going thru You tube. Thanks Liz
  10. Thanks for all your replies but there does seem to be differences of opinion! I would like copy of Ron's tutorial please as I am still very much a beginner with PTE. My email is stephanieadams520@hotmail.com Thanks Steph.
  11. Hello! I am confused by conflicting advice I have had about how to size my images for a sldeshow. Some people say to size all my images to 1024x768 pixels and the resolution and size doesnt matter. But I would have thought a higher resolution would have given a better quality image when the images are enlarged to fill the screen. Please could you clarify the optimum settings I need to use. Thanks Steph
  12. Thanks very much - problem solved!! This has arisen due to the slideshow being for a lecture with a 'live' commentary on each slide.
  13. I am new to pictures to exe and I want to make a very simple slideshow with manual control of the advancement of slides via the mouse buttons. I have found the option to do this under project options and have set my left click to move forward and the right click to go back. However in preview mode when I right click to go back the slide does not stay on the screen as I would like but imediately moves forward again. Is there a way I can make it stay on the previous slide? Thanks Steph Adams
