  1. Much later.. but thanks. I will use mary
  2. Thanks for all the help. I have made an mp4 file and I can load it to a picasa web album but it is huge 102,347kb What a fool I am!!! I have just found this. I have attached the picasa video requirements. I think this means thet it converts the file so presumably it does not matter how big the file is that I upload. Is that how you read it? Thanks Mary
  3. Thanks everyone for your help. I checked out the Picasa site as suggested. These are the files supported by Picasa as stated on their website For general playback in Picasa: .mpg, .mod, .mmv, .tod, .wmv, .asf, .avi, .divx, .mov, .m4v, .3gp, .3g2, .mp4, .m2t, .m2ts, .mts, .mkv. For several of these file types, the correct software is required for playback. In PTE this morning I published ny slideshow using 'Creating HD video for PC and Mac. It saved it as mp4 file. It was a success as it appeared in the Picasa folder and I was able to load to my Picasa web a;bum. I will now try the different dpi presets and different quality setting to get a smallish file for my purposes. Thanks for the help. PS What type files do other PTE users publish in for web sites
  4. Thanks I'll try in the morning and let you know how I go. - 10.30 pm here Mary
  5. I have made several slide shows on Pictures to Exe and have saved them as an 'exe' file. They are fine for the computer screen and for projecting at the Camera Club. I would like to put them on my Picasa Web album but the files do not even show up in the folder when I open Picasa. How should I save them to get them to upload for Picasa Web albums. Thanks Mary
  6. Thanks, I wont uninstall my first vesion. I'd better write the keys somewhere. What is the installer? I just downloaded from the PTE site Mary
  7. I have upgraded at no charge to PTE deluxe 7 within my free 2 years. What do I do with my PTE 6.5 version. Can I uninstall it from my computer? Thanks mary
  8. Hi Lin, Many thanks. I had the start time at 6 seconds - the length of slide one but that did not work. I'll do the offset. What is the purpose pf the start time box? Cheers Mary
  9. Hullo I am doing a slide show and have used Project Options to put in a music track. I would like it to start on slide 2. How do I do this// Thanks mary
  10. Thanks Lin That's a wonderful answer. It is too late for me to try it tonight but I will do it tomorrow and let you know how I go. I am a novice at sound editing but will download audacity and begin to learn. I really appreciate you taking the time to give me the answer in so much detail. Mary
  11. I have a 3.14 slide shoe. My music is 1.46. I have put it in to repeat. I would like it it to fade at the end of the slide. WHen i put in the fade time as 1.40 it fades each time and this comes in the middle of the slide show. Is it possible to only have it fade at the end of the slide show while my titles are showing. Thanks
  12. Hi Igor, have uploaded the latest and all seems to be well with aero on. Thanks for your help. Mary
  13. I am not good at this 1 Yes I can run slideshows 2 It is 4 core. I went to the PTE exe file and it suggested I set compatibility to XO or Vista.. I did this (to Vista). It then checked compatibility again and the words "Not compatible" came up. It still froze so i set the dispalay to Windows Basic and it workks. I will now try your solution - ie I will update to latest edition and let you know if it works with Aero. Mary
