  1. I made a reply a few hours ago, but I don't see it so I thought I would go ahead and reply again. I am using 6.5.3 version, and I have made my slideshows with mp3's purchased on amazon. I feel uncomfortable asking my clients about their computers especially when I do not know anything about Mac's. I ask when the computer was purchased and she said it was newly purchased this year. So I would assume the 2006 thing would not be an issue here. The main problem is that two versions before, the MAC show would work perfectly on her system...now she has to flip one by one. One of the previous issues that I had addressed with nobeefstu was fixed by removing the start-up screen. Although the start-up screen was nice it was not essential, therefore, I didn't need to go much further with that issue because the show would now "play". Nothing was officially "fixed", just modifying the slideshow solved my problem. Noting that it wouldn't even play before, it froze upon execution. That is not the problem now, the show opens, it just does not automate or play music. I stated this problem before, and was told to turn off the acceleration...which is confusing by the way because it says if they don't have it, it will automatically turn itself off. Which I did, same thing still happens.
  2. I am still having problems myself...some clients tell me that they have to flip one by one on the MAC versions. I don't understand why it doesn't work. I have turned off acceleration and it still doesn't work. After using P2EXE for several several years, it is very disappointing that I have had to stop doing computer slide shows until I am able to transition my work flow to a different and more reliable software solution. I have made 3 support tickets, and have received NO response. There is no technical support other than this highly inefficient support forum which takes FOREVER to receive a response. I am running a business, this is not some part-time playful venture for me. My living relies on my ability to provide my clients with quality service and products, therefore, I HAVE to have reliability and quick problem solving solutions. I understand that the cost of P2EXE does not support a full-time technical support, which is obvious given the ZERO response I have had with the support tickets. Even though I LOVE P2EXE for a variety of reasons, I have to move on. Hope you have better luck getting a viable solution, because I never did. Sorry....
  3. I have a few clients that could understand how to use the CMD function, however....you would be surprised on how many people barely know how to open email. It is very frustrating, and the number one reason why I gave up on the whole online viewing web galleries. It is so much simpler to send someone an self-contained slideshow through a secure FTP.
  4. Ken- I actually have formulated a system like this using another program called breeze browser. It prints thumbnails and does alot of other functions like converting raw files all the way to creating proof books. It's a good program and like PTE one that I have used for years, and is VERY affordable like PTE. So, it's ok that PTE doesn't perform this task...buuut, it would be helpful if the slideshow had some dynamic capabilities for the viewer, while protecting my images. The number reason why I use PTE is because of the do not print screen option along with the protection of the image files being locked in the slideshow. I know in the past a simple hex editor could crack it, but it would take someone with that kind of knowledge to hack it. Bottom line I feel that my intellectual property is safer using PTE. Peter- Yep, you are right and that is what we suggest our clients to do. However, you know how people are....they want more.
  5. The start-up screen never comes up, the window opens in the status bar but then nothing happens.
  6. As a professional photographer, I use PTE to preview my images. It would be helpful for my clients to mark a slide that they like. Then somehow be able to print "like" list or create thumbnails at end of show? Also perhaps click on thumbnail to see full slide, like a a jump to screen maybe?
  7. As a professional photographer, I have been a loyal user of PTE for a long long time. I have tried other programs and web galleries but I still keep coming back to using good ol reliable PTE. One major complaint from my clients is that they can not jump to a slide, it is bothersome that they have to start from the beginning each time.
  8. Ok, the issue has to be the start-up window. I completely rebuilt the start-up window in v6.5 from scratch and the same thing still happens. Double click on exe, window opens and nothing happens.
  9. I think I might have figured out the problem. I built the start-up page in 6.0.4 and for some reason it is causing a hang up in v6.5. When I remove start-up window, slide show plays.
  10. I have updated to v6.5 and I can not get my EXE's to play. Upon double clicking file, window opens...I hear a ding and the slide show does not play. It plays perfectly when I preview. OS - Windows 2000 Is this a common error? What do I need to do or what information do you need to help me? Jess
  11. I am using PTE Deluxe Version 6.0.4 - I tried to find a "build" but I wasn't able to locate anything that said build. I am not sure on the MAC OS but I emailed my client, so hopefully she will get back to me soon. Are there MAC OS that the slide show will not work with? Is this something I should inform my clients?

When I create a MAC slideshow, using a PC computer with Windows 2000 (yeah, I know it is ancient and unsupported BUT I do not want to change my entire network and virtual private network until I REALLY have to.) I get an error message that says no images when slideshow is played on a MAC. I have tried sending both methods to my clients, creating a ZIP file and clicking on create. I read the user guide and searched the Forum to see if this is a common problem, and was unable to locate anything that would help me. Therefore, I am concerned that either my operating system is the problem or could it be because I have a start-up window with links that access PDF's on my website. I need your help, please. I have several clients begging for a MAC slideshow, which is why I purchased Deluxe. Thank you for your time and attention.

  14. Hi! I purchased the upgrade to PTE Deluxe last Friday on the 16th. I received the invoice and the email stating that I would receive my registration key within 24 hours. On Monday, I created a support ticket informing you that I had not received the key. Plus, I also emailed support directly per my invoice from regnow. Earlier today, I tried to pull up my support ticket to see if you had a chance to reply, and I put my email address in for you to email me the tracking ID. I have not received the ID nor the key at the time of posting this. I apologize that I am posting this into the forum, however, I am concerned that you maybe having issues with my email. I have another email address that you can try if needed. I did check my spam/junk folder to make sure they didn't go there, and so far I can't find anything. I am not upset, a little frustrated, because well...I am excited to receive the upgrade! Love your product and I have been using it faithfully since 2004? or maybe 2005? Who knows, LOL!!
