  1. And here is that program called MySlideShow, works great, exactly what I was looking for. PTE seems to have enough users and support that I hope they dont mind me posting this. http://www.anixsoft.com/myslideshow.html Roger
  2. I havent used the object editor yet. I can put 1000 or more images in a slide show, clients dont like having to go through every slide to get to slide #870. I thought that an automatically generated thumbnail page or index of all slides in the show, with automatically generated links to the larger images, could be incorporated. Roger
  3. Any thought at all about using a thumbnail page with links to the full image or would that make it a different program? Roger
  4. Hi All, I started using PTE because Flip Album was expensive and the customer service pretty useless, they even started charging $2/minute to ask them questions AND because someone said that you could find ways to print Flip Album presentations (I was using Ver 4.1)although I havent verified that. Has anyone ever been able to print anything from PTE in any way with printing disabled? Thanks, Roger
  5. It is something that needs to be fixed. Yes, I know now how to use the program better, but the creating and saving of one slide show as another name is a naming glitch. thanks for the info and help. Roger
  6. For some reason PTE is Saving my file as the previously opened slide show. PTE needs to change the way this program opens, creates and saves slide shows or at least provide more prompts so that a newly created slide show is not saved as the previously open slide show. I opened PTE and the previously opened slide show opened up automatically. I cleared the slide list of all images. I added images to the list and adjusted Project Options, Previewed etc. I "Saved" the project as a PTE file and gave it a new name, as instructed in the Finmal Steps of the Help file. Then I hit "File, Create" and PTE automatically, without any prompting, saved the open Slide Show I had created, which was named "Joe and Mary", as "Bill and Sue". What gives? Roger
  7. First thing I will try is converting the .wma file I am using to mp3, know of any good, free converters? Also, the same thing happened on one of the desktops. I burned the CD on Desktop Computer A. CD wont play correctly in Computer A but plays correctly in Computer B. A CD burned on Computer B plays correctly in Computer B but not A, go figure. Roger
  8. That pretty much says it all. The first picture in the sequence opens up but then it freezes, nothing happens, the first image stays on the screen with no sound and no second, third image etc. this slide show worked fine on 2 desktops but wont work in the laptop. Roger
  9. I have a PC and am really enjoying sending photos to clients in this slide show and have come across my first Mac user. The most important aspect of the slide show is the inability to print the photos in any way. Other than that it is not that important what the functions are as long as it is in a slide show format and you have basic navigation capabilities throughout the slide show. Is a Pics to Exe for Mac in the works? Roger
  10. I just purchased the program and was trying to create my first slide show. I must be really stupid or the instructions are wrong. I created the slide show (.pte). The Help file, which does not match the programs interface, says to view the program to simply open it with Preview. Well, the Preview button is not highlighted. I checked the box marked .EXE when I created the program but the file I created is a .PTE file. How does that work? What am I doing wrong? The PTE file does not show up in the dialog box, therefore I cann select or open it. When I created the program there was no task bar that showed the progress of the file being created, I used about 1000 files at 1mb each. It looks like PTE is not using the images to create anything. They are jpg's. When i doubleclick on the .pte file it just opens the program, and not the slide show. Roger
