Hi I'm completely new to this also , but it seems to me one should be able to add an "invisible" 1x1 pixel image as the "basic" image on each slide and then for each of the slides go to Objects and add on the images you want e.g. Dad and/or Mom and/or whatever and then move these around to wherever you want them.
