  1. Many, many thanks Igor.

This software is a true jewel.

It reconciled me with electronic slideshows and boosted my pleasure to take photos.

My friends and my family too, appreciate very much this new form of presenting images.

Once more, a very big BRAVO for this lovely software. :):)

  2. .... it would have been nice to have a text description of them.

    Hello Ralvis

Thank you for your kind comments. :D

Concerning the aircraft description, I voluntarily ignored them as it could be rather boring for non specialists.

For the same reason, I hesitated to post this slideshow (vast majority of the slideshows here concern landscapes (open lanscapes, cities, ...).

Nevertheless, if it could be of some interest for you, here you will find links to the listing, photos, and some explanations for the aircraft depicted in my slideshow.

  3. Thank you very much for all these compliments.

I took very much pleasure creating this slideshow.

The multiple comments that provided me Michel, Daniel and the visitors of Michel's web site FanaPhot helped me to improve my technique and particularily for this slideshow.

I want to thank them again for their invaluable assistance. :D

The "show ratings" post on this forum pinpoints the importance of these comments.

There you have a practical example of it !

    Many thanks

  4. P.S. What is your opinion concerning "Start first transition effect from desktop" option? Does it look correctly and will it give a good impression in case of careful using of this option? And please use this option in beta #7 only for tests, because I didn't test it yet, how it compatible with multi-displays configuration.

It works absolutely fine when my first slide has a fade in/out effect but for all the other effects the behaviour is the same as if I choose a slide duration shorter then the effect duration (stuttering slide !).

This "Start first transition effect from desktop" possibility (concerning fade in and out) is very very interesting and gives the starting of the slideshow a very surprising and innovative effect.

  5. I want to use the Push effect with 3 slides to recreate a continuous movement stopping at slide 3.

When I set for slide 2, in the "Use own time preferences", the "Time interval" to zero (s and ms), the slide stops endlessly.

If I set this time to 1 ms, the slide stops very shortly but it is percievable and not suitable for a continuous movement.

I tried to override this problem in editing the pte file (Time and TimeMs for slide 2) and wrote zero for the seconds and a negative value (-0 or an other negative value) for the milliseconds. This decreases the stop sensation of the slide but don't eliminate it.

    Is ther a solution ?

    Patrick

  6. Michel

How is the title effect achieved using "push" please? I get a pause between each slide.

    Ron [uK]

For the push effect in my slideshow "Vietnam" I used 2 slides.

slide 1 : black with a white line and a boat on the left hanside

slide 2 : black with a white line at strictely the same level as in slide 1 + text

"Push effect", "From left side to right side" for slide 2 with 8000 msec effect duration

    Patrick

  7. Hello

Thank you very much for the compliments.

    - Concerning the "blown skies", during our stay in Vietnam there was no showers but also no blue sky or clouds. The sky, in northern Vietnam, was bright but rather milky ;-(

    - Concerning the music... this is a point were satisfying everybody is a very, very, big challenge ;-))

    - "Ralvis" .. "Any tips to pass on!!? "

Is there something particular you want to know ?

    Thanks again,

    Patrick

  8. The method of "terminating" that you described is the same as what I use when I want to pause the show waiting for some action by the viewer. You could even add a couple of buttons - one to really end the show ("exit"), and one to take the viewer back to the beginning, and then there would be even less of a chance of a timeout.

    Hi Alrobin

I posted a diaporama ("112") at Michel's site (fanaphot.com) with a choice for the language.

The french solution end's with a dia having a long duration and ... uniformly black ;-((

As ending automatically the show is not possible, your proposal with buttons on this dia is much more elegant than mine.

Of course , with more than one diaporama .... no problem !

Thank you very much for your suggestions.

    Patrick

  9. Is it possible to terminate a diaporama automatically with a dia which is not the last one ?

    My problem :

To create a diaporama with 2 possibilities (one in french and the other in english), I created 2 series of dias (1 for each langage) and a first dia with buttons with a link to a particular dia.

I gave a duration of 3600 sec (1 hour) for the last dia of my first serie so that the second serie doesn't automatically starts.

Is it right so or is there a more elegant solution to this problem ?

these type of show's open one's eyes up to the "old world" as well as "today's world"

this is where an english version explaining the pictures would be great -- like a scrolling text across the bottom of the slides

and a pause feature so i can study the indivdual frames and a built in translator and a ????

i hope as these enhancements to P2E are developed, the shows are all redone with latest features

Sorry. My intention was to make a diaporama in french and english but I am a "new born" for PTE as I bought it last week only !

Now that I am a bit more familiar with this great software, I promise never make same error ;-))) ... if traduction make's a sense.

I "produced" a new diaporama about emergency and this time I made it in two langages.

I sent it today to Michel for his site if it has interest for the community.
