Since i upgraded my monitor to a larger size my transitions (smooth till now) have developed a flicker. Can this be rectified?

Unfortunately there is no slider above the slidelist.

Have just downloaded 7.0 but am confused by the fact that the slide list appears as a small thumbnail instead of the larger image of previous versions. How can I adjust this?
