Splitting the Screen for stereoscopic projection [SOLVED]

Recommended Posts

I use PTE for stereoscopic (3D) projection with two HD projectors and polarized filters. The files are 3200x1200 (8:3 ratio) with the 1600x1200 left/right images placed symmetrical.

A slide show with 3200x1200 images is just fine. However, animations give problems. I have tried placing the left/right images on a 3200x1200 base (with and without masks or frames), in this way I can make e.g. zoom 50% -> 100%, but if I zoom above 100% the images overlap.

What I need is to split the window into two independent windows, so the (same) animations can be applied to each window in a way they don't interact/overlap. Is this possible?

Hi Randlov,

What you can do is to use the PTE feature : add mask.

Add a mask for the left image and choose a rectangle shape.

The size of the mask you will create will be 400x300 (corresponding to the ratio of your image 1600x1200).

You have to add the left image as a child of the mask object.

The image will be shown through this mask.

You do not need a mask for the right image if you put it under the left image.

It means the image object corresponding to your right picture will be underneath in the objects list.

This way, you can zoom your pictures more than 100% and they will not overlapp.

If you need, I can post a pte project tonight (in about 5 hours).
