Hi Eric,

I have a Samsung version of this laptop. It runs the Chrome OS, which is a secure version of Linux and is not compatible with the Windows operating system. I'm thinking about dual booting with Ubuntu since I could use that at work.

Chrome OS is great as a secondary device for reading gmail and browsing the web. Presently it's not a good solution for PicturesToExe. You can play YouTube videos but not your slideshows in .exe format. I tried the remote desktop plugin and it works (with audio) but not the best quality.

What I am hoping is the Android will be ported to these laptops since it is a very capable operating system/platform. Project butter is amazing on my Nexus 7 tablet.

Thanks,

Tom

Hi Tom

I read up on Chrome since I posted, I don't think it's for me, from what I can gather the low price is to get you in then after 12 months there is an on-cost, I think.

Regards Eric.
