Synchronise Audio to Slide Show

Recommended Posts

In Pictures to exe 8 deluxe it tell you that in order to synchronise the Audio track to the slide show

In Project Option / Advanced tab make sure that "Synchronize soundtrack and slides" is ticked

In TIMELINE click on the Timeline Options Button and choose one of following

* Fit all slides to soundtrack

* This will set the duration of each slide to a value which will spread the slides equally over the full Music/Soundtrack duration

OR

Set End of Last Slide at End of Soundtrack

This will place the final slide such that its end coincides with the end of the Soundtrack

The placing of all other slides can then be done manually in the Timeline

However when I click on the Timeline I only get a menu which says

Mute Track

Lock Track

Etc

Can anyone help please ?

Assuming that you want all slides to be of equal duration and spread along the Timeline, try it in this order:

1. Click on "Set End of Last Slide at End of Soundtrack" (check end of Soundtrack to see that this has been done).

2. Click on First Slide and Shift Click on Last Slide to select All Slides.

3. Cick on "Arrange Selected Slides"

houndtel,

No music attached to individual slides. There are 73 slides in all and 4 pieces of music to accompany them

Clicking Fit All Slides To Soundtrack is all that should be necessary to align the slides to the music (the other click/functions are not required for simple slide alignment.)

What is your 4 music format(s) and where did they come from ?

Did you try converting the music files to MP3 using CBR encoding as a test ?

** As a test try temporarily removing the last Music File and test again using Fit All Slides To Soundtrack and verify if slide alignment is achieved.

** As a another test ... you may need to check each individual Music File one by one using Fit All Slides To Soundtrack and verify if slide alignment is achieved on each one.

Note:

Its possible you may have a Music File(s) that needs re-encoding to be read properly by PTE. Downloaded Music Files can sometimes be troublesome due to its original encoding process used.
